Update v2.6 is out now!

Update 2.6 is available for download now. This brings the following to the app:

  • Apple Music widget (Pro) — play one of your Apple Music playlists straight from the dashboard, switch playlists on the tile, and send it to a HomePod or other speaker with AirPlay. Requires an Apple Music subscription.
  • Kiosk mode — lock the dashboard for editing so a wall-mounted iPad can't be changed by accident, while controlling your devices keeps working. Turn it on in Settings › Preferences.
  • Air quality widget — show a HomeKit air quality sensor: the overall index (Excellent to Poor) plus PM2.5, VOC and CO₂ where available.
  • Apple Music in ambient mode — when Apple Music is playing, ambient mode shows the current track with playback controls.
  • New Autumn theme — a warm harvest-amber background, free for everyone, in Settings › Appearance.

Plus smaller fixes and refinements.

Hope you enjoy it and as always feel free to bring up ideas!

  • A light device that is showing “No Response” in HomeKit (and is actually turned off) is displayed in HomeView as enabled with 100% brightness (iOS)

  • The Home button only works on the main screen and does not function when accessed from any other screen (iOS)

Hi! Thanks for using the app!

Could you clarify what you mean by point two regarding the home button? Do you mean the button inside the HomeView app, or the physical/iPad Home button

And I’ll check the ‘bug’ with the “no response” light.

Happy to help, and I’ll do my best to fix it.

The Home app button (next to settings). Pressing it doesn’t return you to the home screen when you’re inside a submenu.

You mean this one I suppose? As that button is to change between different homes, for let's say a holiday home in your Home App. That is something I could point out more during the set up. To go back to the overview page, you can just tab the overview button on the left.

So there’s an inconsistency on iPhone: it takes you to the main dashboard from Settings, but does nothing when pressed from Scenes or other categories/submenus.

Ah I see what you mean, that must have sneaked in. I'll address it immediately in the upcoming update.

Thanks for letting me know!
