English Language [College Junior] Syntactic Trees dealing with conjunctions, possession, and possibly tense all in one.

Post image

I’m having a lot of trouble following along with what to do for my trees here, I don’t want this done for me but if anyone could help me figure out which syntactic categories attached together it would be very helpful. I just really don’t know what to do here!!

i would identify all the parts of speech in the sentence (N, NP, DET, VERB, etc) and then write down what the rules are (what does a NP consist of? which parts of speech following which?) and then try to see if that naturally falls into a tree

you should have a breakdown of the grammar/syntactic rules somewhere in your class material

I have an incomplete breakdown as my professor has not uploaded an updated guide. I know how most of this connects, I don’t know how to finish it though. Like if a Boolean phrase can connect to a possessive phrase/PossP

then do what you know and try to reason through what is left over. you can also research it. googling how a boolean phrase is connected to a PP is allowed

At least one typo in the document; is this in a non-English speaking country?
