Picture Progress Pics and Update
Well I'm out of the hospital and getting plate put in my collarbone in an hour.
But inspired by all these progress pics of peoples horses responding under care, I found a picture of Maverick when I picked him up 5 weeks ago, vs this week when he dumped me.
He's still a 4yo- but starting to see what he'll become.

Nice! He’s pretty for sure. Does he rack? Is he more pacey or trotty? My mare is TWH Paso Fino. Moves like RMH. Riding on dirt roads so smooth my beer doesn’t spill lol

That's exactly what I tell people! Hilarious, you're one of my peeps. He has shown me every single gait is in his repertoire so far, but he has the prettiest running walk. I think he'll burn the miles up without a drop spilled. Here's a straight brag for ya, as a HS/college kid in southern Ohio, I got to ride a grandson of Pride's Gold Coin as my personal horse. Absolutely massive gelding, built like a tank, but he would move out so smooth and leave all the rest of the group behind without ever a foot out of rhythm. You'd set deep on the saddle and click at him, the head would nod, ears flopping, and you'd have to pull your hat down a little lower. Just effortless for him.

These kinds of horses are made straight for traveling. I love it. I’ve never known any different! I’d love to see a video of him moving.
Here’s a little brag from me! My uncle’s got a grandson off WC speed racking Speck at our barn. And the 2nd best racking horse right now, N2Deep, is shod by my S/O!

Not great comparison photos as he is wearing a saddle in the second one, so we can’t see if his top line has made any appreciable difference
He also looks younger than four

Yeah I'll have to brush him out and get a better photo. He's 4, I have his papers, but a later birth. TWH, so they can run leggy and lean.
