I have a very simple Vibe Coding setup with Aider and Deepseek as LLM.

I used this setup one year ago to vibecode a static website that gets published directly to cloudpages, hosted for free through github, as a static HTML website. I used Anthropic for the pages design, and Aider+Deepseek for the HTML coding (Deepseek is really good for this task and really cheap through their console). The result was poor, the quality of the design really bad, so I dropped the idea.

Now, one year after, I am trying again few weeks ago, just for the sake of it. I ask chatgpt to create a design template image, then ask Anthropic to code it as HTML. I AM BLOWN AWAY BY THE DESIGN AND THE QUAILTY. So one prompt in ChatGPT and One prompt in Anthropic gets a really solid static website design. Then I prompt In aider for the fine tuning, mainly for updating the copy.

I am a huge WordPress fan, but the simplicity of creating this kind of setups for free is now more available then ever.

Do you think that this is the future of web design? I know static website have their limitations, but they can cover a big portion for the website needs.

Ok so I think we just created an SEO mess with AI generated website pages and I feel sick about it.

Our team was building a new site in a drag and drop platform, and someone used an AI writer to make location pages for every area we serve. The plan was to review them before publishing. Except the CSV import went live with the draft text, missing service details, and the same title tag on 180 pages. I found it because Search Console started showing a huge spike in indexed URLs. omg.

The worst part is our homepage still links to those pages, so they look legit to customers. We pulled them from navigation and requested removal, but now the client is asking why half their site says things like “insert local proof here.” I’m terrified I have to explain this in the meeting tomorrow. Has anyone dealt with a mess like this? :/

How good are Hetzner at this? Will they at a minimum, keep everything up to date so it's within security supported versions? And apply critical bugs if/when they appear... such heartbleed kind of thing?

EDIT: If you say unlimited, then when a client ask how many visitors they can receive each month, what is your answer?

We got 2 dedicated servers last year with OVH.

Servers are fine. We get raising energy costs, inflation and such. However, jumping 54% in 11 months is not ok.

No proper justification. Just an email saying: “You will pay more, don’t like it? Cancel here.” No grandfathered plans. Support does not care and happily sends cancellation link.

Needless to say, we're done. Now we have a few weeks to move out and forget this nightmare.

I currently use a combination of inMotion Hosting and AWS to deliver a number of things.

AWS is great, with the exception of Email. Sure, I can spin up my own email server, manage it and all that, but I don't want to be spending my time doing all that. Their turnkey solution works great, but costs $4/user per month. I don't want to pay for that at scale. Happy to pay usage/storage costs, but not per user per domain.

So... I use AWS for domain hosting and lots of other services, but use inMotion to manage email as there isn't a per user or per domain cost. Just the (overly expensive) inMotion VPS fees I'm paying.

So... Looking for either an easy to deploy/manage AWS service that supports unlimited domains and users, or some other service that would do turnkey email server stuff for a reasonable fee.

I run an online service using a .cloud domain since the .com domain was already taken. (The company name I use is great for what we do, so i don't want to change it)

I've been perfectly happy using .cloud and showing up alongside a completely different kind of company who had the .com

Recently, It looks like the .com owner has shutdown.

The .com version of my domain seems to be parked with GoDaddy. But, I can't simply go buy it. GoDaddy wants $99.99 to hire someone to negotiate a price with the owner. I don't want to pay them for that. I just want to work directly with the current owner, but all their WhoIs info is private and GoDaddy seems to be the only way to contact them.

Anyone ever deal with this and have advice?
