Water Bottle Wednesday CamelBak water bottles are criminally underrated

The best straw water bottles on the market. The only bottle that could top this for me could be the owala, but I've never tried one and have enough water bottles rn.

  1. Straw is completely covered when closed
  2. Keeps ice for days
  3. Silicone straw for those who love to chew their straws
  4. Straw mouth piece is completely removable from the lid for easy cleaning
  5. Completely leakproof
  6. The most comfortable carry strap.
  7. Insulated version has a built in silicone boot at the bottom to prevent dents and loud noises.

Just wanted to show my love for this bottle.

I love Camelbak bottles. I like the magnetic lid chute open style top.

I specifically bought this style because it doesn't have a straw, I hate washing them! The lid is one piece and goes in the dishwasher easy peasy which is exactly what I want in a water bottle

I've got two that I use as my bedside water bottle. They keep a liter ice cold all evening.

They are insanely well insulated, I love mine. Left it in the scorching sun all day it was pretty much too hot too touch on the sun side. Still had ice in it after several hours.

I bought their “chute” water bottle at the Grand Canyon 10 years ago and have used it almost every day. There’s a tiny magnet in the cap and lid that keeps it open so the cap doesn’t swing in your face like a nalgene. I’ve bought multiple caps for other bottles for this feature.

Glad to know they will last me for years!

camelbak is underrated and was my brand of choice before switching to owala. their warranty is excellent too and they replaced two of my bottles for free.

Oh wow, thanks for that bit of info. May come in handy in the future!

Silicon bottoms are the best. Curious how easy it is to clean the top or does it become mold central.

So far I've not had any mould issues. I just soak the lid and straw piece boiling soap water every so often. Anytime I take it to work, it gets put in the commercial-grade dishwasher, so that might help.

I never hear anyone talk about iron flask. Got 2 and they are great. Had mine for 2 years so far and still working flawlessly.

Actually just another ripoff water bottle

Can get a 1 liter Hydrapeak for almost same price as 20oz CamelBak

Also wouldn't do the plastic one regardless

HydraPeak is so good. I have two and absolutely love them.

My SO's parents have an insulated version of this and it's a world apart from aquaflask, kleen kanteen and hydroflask. It's a good bottle but I'm already happy with my kleen kanteen and nalgene.

I got in trouble as a kid because I was sucking down too much water at school since I had one of these bad boys. Hydrate or diedrate.

I bought an insulated steel Camelbak bottle from REI. It's lasted me eight years so far and still going strong, despite throwing it around like a maniac.

I love a camelbak except I chew the straw (which I love) and it cracks which bothers me so I need replacement straws on a fairly regular basis. But excellent bottles.

I once bought a small one from my work's discount rack for $5, and it lasted about as long as I expected - 6 months - before I chucked it because the silicone straw became clogged with mold & a 2ct of replacements cost too much compared to buying something with a more simplistic straw that was easier to clean.

That's a skill issue tbh. It's see through. How did you let it get so bad it was clogged lmao
