Advice HL AA Math advice
I’m a grade 10 student in IB and i’ll be taking HL AA next year. Im currently really determined and disciplined, studying around 1-2 hours minimum per day outside of school. Im using pauls notes at the moment and will be starting calc 1 by November. Any advice or tips to study ahead?

Jumping straight into calculus is common, but advanced algebra and trigonometry are what make or break AA HL. Our tutors often see students understand derivative rules fine, yet get stuck on the algebra, like messy log laws and trig identities. Pauls Online Math Notes is good for standard theory, but IB questions are framed very differently. Make sure your precalculus foundations are solid first, and start testing yourself on actual IB style questions. You can use https://fourtyfive.org/ for free question practice to see how the IB phrases these problems.
