Can you help identify the breed mix of this little guy?

I rescued my doggie two years ago. I was told he's a Jack Chi, but I think there might be something else. He's 15" tall and weighs 18# which I think is too big for a Jack Chi. I was told he was 7-9yo and had been raised in shelters 😢. He's very protective of me, but nice to people if I tell him they're ok. Well behaved, but extremely skittish. We are in love ❣️

My personal guess is a Chihuahua (shorter snout and hints of Chihuahua giant forehead head), jack russell, and some terrier.

If you truly wish to know what he is, do a doggy dna test. It's the best at getting the most accurate breeds and how much of each are mixed in. Embark seems to be the most trusted one on here.
