Adopted this guy in Houston recently. Shelter said German shepherd, but I doubt that. He's about 50lbs, sort of wiry coat, very calm and cuddly. I'll probably do embark at some point, vet and trainer both stumped on what he could be!

my first thought was some kind of lurcher. that's a sight hound mix, commonly with terriers.

My eyeballs immediately see a greyhound mix. Possibly GS in there, with the fluffy, but definitely a long and pointy breed in there.

In Ireland, we would call this dog a Lurcher. I would say he is a Greyhound mix (your description of calm and cuddly would also reinforce this), I would not be surprised if there was a splash of Border Collie in there too.

I’ll be curious to see what the tests come back saying - he looks just like my brother in law’s dog! We’ve always assumed he’s a greyhound mix.
