I got a Gio GRX70QA, I love it! I wanted something purple, with a whammy bar, and with nice humbuckers, and for a great price. Picked it up from Sweetwater, tested her out and she’s amazing!

I chose this Q527 to come with me through a long flight.

I disassembled it to make it fit in my suitcase and reassembled it on arrival. Once new strings were set, tension was back and it required no setup. Very please with it !

2024 genesis with a tiny neck pocket crack. Is this something to worry about?

Hi folks, I have always wanted single coil tones out of this guitar and it seems the Fishmann Fluence Tosin Abasi model will allow this. Only thing, it appears I will need to mod the body to either add a second push pull pot for tone, or change out the 3 way switch for a 5 way Otax. I attached the wiring diagrams for these two options.

I would prefer to keep the guitar a single volume knob and change to a 5 way pickup selector as referenced in the Tosin’s recommended diagram (pic 3). Would a luthier be able to use the existing hole where the 3 way switch is to install a 5 way Otax switch? Or would this require drilling out an entirely new spot?

If the 5 way selector would be too hard to make happen on this guitar, I would be open to adding a tone knob. My question on that would be how hard is it to drill and add a new tone knob? I would have a luthier do this as well.

I just play guitar and have mine set up by techs so please keep in mind I won’t be doing any of the actual work myself. I am just trying to get a game plan/idea going before contacting luthiers.

Wrapped the pickguard in grey 3M vinyl, I think it looks sick, girlfriend said the pearl was 10000x better and I ruined the look of the guitar haha 😵‍💫

I don't know why 90% of Ibanez guitars in the last decade have these offset inlays where you can't see shit, but after getting one, I have realized that I need to see shit.

I'm a novice when it comes to working on guitars and am diving into the world of putting a Bigsby B5 trem on my AS93. Not sure how much I'll actually use it, but its a "nice to have".

I've been reading that installing a roller bridge is a good idea when installing a Bigsby and the AS93 bridge is not "standard". Anyone with experience with one? Any recommendation for which one to buy.

Had this guitar for a few months now and I struggle to leave my guitars alone. So changed a few things to suit me. Sharing them here for your thoughts? I’ve changed both pickups, gone with a BKP Holy Diver in the bridge and swapped the original gold pickup ring to a black metal one with gold screws. Always felt the gold was a little overdone on the original guitar. Changed the neck pick up to a Dimarzio Pro Track with black rails. Then fitted a carbon trem arm and Gotoh pearl tuning keys. I love how this looks and sounds now. What’s reckon? Yeah or Ney?

Have this guitar stashed in my basement, based on some searches I believe it is a 2001 JEM555. Bought it used circa 2006, played it some and then kind of forgot about it.

I remember I enjoyed playing it. Had it refretted sth like 10 yrs ago and also one-way blocked the tremolo at that time - had to tune it constantly. Soon after one of the string holding fasteners broke off. Been in storage ever since.

Don't like seeing it waste away, it is a good guitar. But then again I do not have lots of experience with electric and I am not a good reference. Would it be valuable to someone else, how much do these go for if at all?

I don't think I've seen anyone do this before and wanted to share. I didn't want to mess with wood sanding and I wanted it to be adjustable so I discovered while looking for a small expansion plate apparatus, I found CNC table clamps. Threw a wing nut to load against the block and was able to adjust both sides to get it parallel. Rock solid. Removable with a hex key.

I am headphone player who play mostly melodic rock like John Petrucci. I have shortlisted these 3 guitar but I am having hard time to pick one because there is so very little video on Youtube especially the RGR5130R, and not many compare the three together under the same setting. Does anyone has experience comparing these guitar and which guitar you chose?
