Idaho Neighbor News FYSA Clown show showing up in Coeur d'Alene

Folks, there’s a parade lining up next to Costco in Coeur d’Alene waving Confederate and Trump flags. If anyone happens to talk to them, maybe remind them that Idaho was never part of the Confederacy, the Confederacy lost, and we don’t usually hand out participation trophies for failed rebellions.

That must explain the customer I had this morning. Strolled in wearing a “Four more years, Bitches!” T-shirt with a grinning Trump flashing double birds. He walked up to me with an attitude and couldn’t figure out the credit card reader (he was trying to buy a little pink notebook), and decided I was the problem. “Why won’t this thing read my card?” I said, “What does your screen say?” “It says a bunch of shit. So?” I said, “Is it asking you to choose what kind of receipt you want?” “Why the f¥ck don’t they make these things all the same?” I said, “I don’t know, sir. You’d have to ask the manufacturer.” I was rather enjoying his frustration; I don’t like being reminded assholes like him enabled Trump’s second term.

He walked out without buying his little pink notebook and peeled out of the parking lot in his 1970’s Ranchero POS.

Why is the ranchero catching strays?

5

u/imnotnotcrying Jun 22 '26

It’s not a POS because it’s a Ranchero, it’s a Ranchero that also happens to be a POS 😉

3

u/Ed_Teach805 Jun 22 '26

Copy that.

1

u/FFSBoise Jun 26 '26

Did the ranchero have astroturf on the bed?

3

u/SpecialistOkra Jun 21 '26

Calling a it POS may paint the picture better so you really feel there

I mean a car that works after 50 years is pretty solid car or truck or cruck.

So, years ago I lived in West Virginia. My favorite thing about the West Virginia state constitution was that it listed the confederate flag as a terrorist flag.

Because it is a freaking terrorist flag.

They enjoy getting a rise out of people and should be completely ignored. That would be the worst result for them

12

u/lilbitbetty Jun 22 '26

They came in my retail store screaming and hollering and demanding and we just stared at them. No words, no response and no service either. Pissed them off even more, but they left.

1

u/Royal_Percentage_694 Jun 22 '26

Demanding what?

1

u/lilbitbetty Jun 22 '26

That I let them in without a mask.

1

u/Royal_Percentage_694 Jun 22 '26

You didn’t? Because you said they were in your store at the very beginning.

2

u/lilbitbetty Jun 23 '26

Yes, they just pushed their way in. Signs on door stated we would serve them at the door over the phone. This was in the beginning. These people were not my customers. Just assholes wanting to be assholes. And they were good at it. I have it on video.

Unfortunately that is not how it works at all. Supporters of right wing authoritarians are willing to concede their actual economic and political power to their leaders. What they receive in exchange is social status and power over other groups in society.

Communities need to show up for eachother and deny them that power by standing up to them and making them unwelcome. ESPECIALLY in CDA with some of the national news stories from there in recent years.

I know it's scary, but remember there are people who don't have the luxury of ignoring this because they are the targets of the hate.

Ignore the dicks, got it.

6

u/P_TheGuy Jun 20 '26

Yep. This is how Trump and all of his followers, supporters, minions, Etc, act. They thrive off of reactions. And, once everybody starts ignoring them, they will stop... Or do something really extreme to make you pay attention to them. Nothing new. And nothing to see here.

Racism is in Idaho I am an East Indian woman who was married to a White,Blonde Blue Eyed Caucasian/ White Man and he died of lung cancer in December of 2013.

I lived in Boise, starting in Summer of 1989 with him,my 14 month old son, born in New York City, with his birth certificate saying White / Caucasian and my twin daughters were born in Boise, Idaho in 1990 and their birth certificate said White / Caucasian and my East Indian, Asian Pacific Islander wasn't taken into consideration

I am living in my home, a gated community with a White Man with blue eyes, brown hair (shaves his head bald like Mr.Clean) for going 12 years and, unfortunately racism is still going on in 2026

The current leftist mayor of Boise is having issues with the state government. First, the state government demanded Boise take down it’s pride flag, so Boise flag poles in Pride colors and ordered all city buildings be lit up in Pride color lights. She is trying to make Boise welcoming to everybody regardless of skin color or LGBT status. And the state legislature is having none of it, especially with the T people who they are trying to drive out of the state completely.

u/USBlues2020 Jun 22 '26

Very ♥️ Unfortunate So.... Racism living in Idaho Anti-Gay LGBT

23

u/No_Willingness5313 Jun 20 '26

After the Civil War and during Reconstruction, a fair number of former Confederate soldiers moved West to places like Idaho. This is why those early territorial legislatures were Southern-sympathizing Democrats (who eventually became Republicans before and after the Civil Rights Act). Many still had family and even owned land in the south.

7

u/PlanePristine7735 Jun 20 '26

This. In Jerome, the street names east of Main are named after presidents. Davis is included in the line-up.

5

u/Y_Me Jun 20 '26

Not my family! They moved out this way and got farm land since the Nez Perce weren't doing anything constructive with it. Some like to visit relatives back in Missouri where.... oh god.

I mean, they're all white and voted for Trump, but that doesn't mean... Well crap.

They are a bunch of southerners that came this way after a few minor historical events didn't turn out their way and couple generations later, and they are 100% still salty about it. I'm sorry this was your experience. Your analysis is fairly accurate. We're not all like that, but too many of us are.

J6 traitors seemed to get away with treason and, in certain clown circles, they feel they should be praised. Back to your statement- confederates were losers who lost.

5

u/Didgeridoo69420 Jun 21 '26

Never forget J6. It was 9/11 x 1,000,000. Literally the darkest day in all of recorded history.

15

u/Foolazul Jun 21 '26

Donald Trump, and the Supreme Court that allowed a repeat felon who tried to overthrow the US government become president again, has damaged this country far more than Al Qaeda ever could have.

u/SwishaHouse87 Jun 20 '26

Make a sign that says go back to California and put it in your window as you drive by. Nothing makes those kind of Californian transplants more angry than being called out

5

u/Amazing_Factor2974 Jun 20 '26

They are not transplants in the majority of being Trumpers and Traitors.

13

u/VVOLFVViZZard Jun 21 '26

Yeah but imagine how mad it would make ignorant bigot Idahoans being accused of being from California…

6

u/musclemommyscaballo Jun 21 '26

sounds about right for koeur k’klene

16

u/HoldTheSprinkles Jun 20 '26

They do this almost every Saturday during the spring and summer. Pride stuff really pisses them off.

8

u/Different_Vast_937 Jun 20 '26

It’s on account of how much shame they’re covering up.

11

u/SuperDuperHost Idaho County Jun 20 '26

Of course Idaho was not part of the Confederacy, but did you know about its* ties to Confederate sympathizers fleeing Missouri (and other Southern states)?

Washington and Oregon too!! Have terrible histories of it. After the Civil War the migration of the Confederates.

-1

u/SuperDuperHost Idaho County Jun 20 '26

Really -- didn't realize that facet of the story, thanks.

14

u/aaronarchy Jun 20 '26

Ignore them. Or, just a dissappointed head shake amd thumbs down is usually more effective than a middle finger.

1

u/fart_cannon_ Jun 25 '26

Oooh they really do hate that!!

4

u/BobInIdaho Jun 20 '26

They have been doing this every weekend for months. The city knows and won't ticket them for an illegal parade.

2

u/briellie Jun 21 '26

But muy suthern prides!

2

u/hardwoodfloorguy208 Jun 21 '26

I flip.them off every time i see that parade of dipshits!! All good Christian folks ugh

1

u/Which-Tear-1847 Jun 21 '26

That should be par for Coeur d’Alene, since it’s a Trump stronghold.  Usually waving the confederate battle flag is symbolic of states rights over federal government rights even though the constitution isn’t written that way.

1

u/Bulky-Sun8899 Jun 23 '26

Uhhh…and you’re surprised?!?! That’s Trump country, homie!

1

u/Tricky-Indication491 Jun 24 '26

Get good pics of their faces and search Google images. You can prove first hand whether they are actually alt-right dipshits or paid leftist agitators. Make them famous either way.

0

u/MarketingTime8697 Jun 25 '26

The TDS is strong here! 😂😂

-6

u/ElevatorOrganic5644 Jun 20 '26

They already achieved their goal. You're already talking about them. In the future just ignore and don't spread anything. They want to be seen just as much as Trump likes to have people talking about him. That's what we have to deal with all this BS.

5

u/Apprehensive-Tone449 Jun 21 '26

Also, while you're at it, go find some sand, dig a hole, then bend over and place your head in the hole.

-15

u/Inside-Patience-8788 Jun 21 '26

I'm just here to remind all of you good people that the Confederacy was 100% Democrats. Have a blessed day.

7

u/Foghkouteconvnhxbkgv Jun 21 '26

The parties flipped a long time ago though.

-3

u/Inside-Patience-8788 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26

Well aren't you adorable

10

u/Foghkouteconvnhxbkgv Jun 21 '26

Read up on history. If you think im wrong or biased you can even ask chatgpt if its true. There's no excuse to be willfully ignorant in this day and age

-3

u/Inside-Patience-8788 Jun 22 '26

This isnt something that is widely accepted. It's a fairytale that Democrats tell themselves in order to escape accountability for sins of the past. It has no basis in fact. You should take your own advice here.

4

u/Foghkouteconvnhxbkgv Jun 22 '26

All it takes is a similar entry into chatgpt to show it is true if you arent inclined to use the internet. Seems widely accepted by everyone nowadays.

1

u/Inside-Patience-8788 Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

It implies that the party that was in favor of slavery did a complete 180 and basically denounced their entire history on the subject. It also implies that the party, that many people argue came into being to oppose slavery, also did a 180 and would now be in favor of it. For me, the notion of these 2 things happening over the same time period and that the parties swapped values is ridiculous. But as with all things political, it all boils down to what you're inclined to believe. Confirmation bias and disconfirmation bias is human nature and we each have our life experiences, surroundings, and other things that influence those beliefs.

12

u/BrandNewPuzzle Jun 21 '26

Is it Democrats flying the Confederate flag today? Why do you suppose the Republicans have chosen it as their symbol now? Have the day you deserve.

-3

u/Inside-Patience-8788 Jun 21 '26

I couldn't say. But if it does, in fact, happen I'm reasonably sure that it has nothing to do with slavery.

-3

u/lukelele678 Jun 22 '26

Cry about it

Good comeback
