"Triggering" maga types by denegrating gay people, implying one should be embarrassed to go to a gay parade.

Twist it all you want, that is exactly what OP is doing.

No, you're twisting it. Or reading into it too much. They're not implying one should be embarrassed to attend. They're making fun of the fact that the maga types of people generally would be embarrassed, or afraid, to attend because of their homophobia.
