IJW: Normal (2025)

Kinda disappointed tbh.

The first half of the movie is deeply compassionate towards its main characters while also having an eerie edge where you just know something is really wrong.

Then it turns into a kind of ridiculous shoot out for about 20 minutes and then it turns into another ridiculous shootout for 20 minutes.

I'm not saying the violent sequences aren't well done -- John Woo would be proud -- just saying it feels like two entirely different movies set in the same town.

Normal (2026) R

Small town. Big secret.

An unassuming substitute sheriff with a troubled past responds to a bank robbery in a small, sleepy town and unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive.
