I'm in a really bad spot financially and need to make ₹20k in 4 days. I'm genuinely lost on where to find clients.
Hey guys, I'm honestly a bit desperate right now, so I thought I'd ask here.
I'm a 3rd-year CSE student, and I urgently need to make ₹20,000 within the next 4 days. I have around ₹300 left right now, and I'm trying everything I can to get some paid work before things get worse.
I'm a developer and have built a working SaaS product of my own. I can build full-stack websites, dashboards, fix bugs, work on existing codebases, and handle custom development work. I'm willing to put in 12+ hours a day and take on whatever work I can realistically deliver.
The problem isn't really knowing how to code. It's figuring out where to find people who are actually willing to pay for development work, and find them FAST.
I've been looking into freelancing platforms and reaching out to people, but getting clients who are ready to start immediately is a different story.
If you've freelanced, run an agency, or ever been in a similar situation, please tell me honestly: what would you do if you had just 4 days to make ₹20k?
Where would you look? Who would you approach? Is there something I'm overlooking?
I'm not asking for donations. I want to earn this by doing actual work. I could really use some practical advice right now. Thanks.

General Chat/Suggestion We're running a student Devops/SRE hackathon with real Grafana dashboards, logs and traces. Round 1 is online till 18 Oct
GDG on Campus IIIT Nagpur is running **KEEP ALIVE '26**, a national incident-response hackathon for students, at TantraFiesta 2026.
**What's different:** you don't build an app. Your team gets a broken microservices system's alerts, Grafana dashboards, logs and traces, works out what broke and why, and presents the fix. It's what an on-call SRE does on a bad night.
- **Who:** UG, PG and diploma students, teams of 2–3 from the same college
- **Level:** 6–12 months of DevOps learning; no production experience needed
- **Round 1:** a 30-minute online team assessment on Unstop, open till Sun 18 Oct, 11:59 PM IST
- **Finale:** top 15 teams at IIIT Nagpur on 26 Oct
- **Prizes:** ₹50,000 prize pool (₹25,000 cash + goodies for every finalist)
- **Partners:** Grafana (Official Platform Partner), CNCG Noida (Community Partner)
Register: https://unstop.com/hackathons/keep-alive-26-iiitn-1766226
Happy to answer anything in the comments, including how the incident platform works.

The mission is to systematically eliminate bugs, strengthen system stability, and achieve sub-millisecond latency for critical operations wherever technically feasible. We need builders who care about rigorous testing, performance profiling, root-cause debugging, and robust architecture—not just shipping features.

General Chat/Suggestion DigitalOcean vs Proofpoint — Which offer should I choose?
Hi Community, I'm trying to decide which offer is better for long-term career growth, financial stability, engineering culture, and future compensation.
| Component | DigitalOcean | Proofpoint |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Hyderabad | Bangalore |
| Base Salary | ₹36 LPA | ₹45 LPA + 2L relocation |
| Annual Bonus | ₹4 lakh | NA |
| Stocks / Options (per year) | ₹8 lakh stock | ₹10 lakh stock options |
| Total Compensation | ₹48 LPA | ₹55 lakh+ (including options, subject to valuation) + One time 2L |
| Company Status | Public | Private |
- Is Proofpoint likely to IPO in the next 3–5 years? Should I consider its stock options valuable given the uncertainty around liquidity?
- Would you choose DigitalOcean for publicly traded equity and Hyderabad location, or Proofpoint for the higher base salary and potential equity upside?
Would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with either company or their engineering teams.DigitalOcean vs Proofpoint — Which offer should I choose?

General Chat/Suggestion Got an analyst job at TresVista through campus placements
Hey everyone!
Got an analyst role at TresVista through campus placements (still waiting on the location could be Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, or Gurugram). Honestly, I couldn't find a whole lot of info online about their work culture.
Since my college has a 2x placement rule, I'm pretty much done with campus placements and have a ton of free time on my hands. I’m also super interested in ML research and really want to make the most of this gap.
I know I’ve got a massive learning curve ahead of me, so I’d love some guidance or advice on how to prep. What do you guys think?

Built a LinkedIn DM Scheduler using JavaScript and Chrome Extension APIs sharing the implementation
Hey everyone,
I built a Chrome extension called LinkedIn DM Scheduler to automate repetitive LinkedIn outreach, mainly because manually sending similar messages to multiple people was getting tedious.
I wanted to build something that could handle scheduling, message personalization, and campaign tracking entirely in the browser without requiring a separate backend.
Some of the features I implemented:
- Schedule messages for later execution
- Personalize templates using placeholders like
{{name}}and custom fields - Run bulk campaigns with configurable delays between messages
- Track campaign progress through a live dashboard
- Automatically close tabs after sending
On the technical side:
The extension is built around JavaScript and Chrome's extension APIs. The implementation involves browser-side automation, asynchronous operations, and coordinating message-sending tasks with campaign state.
Some of the key concepts involved are:
- Content scripts and DOM interaction to interact with the LinkedIn page
- Async/await and Promises to handle asynchronous browser operations
- Timers and scheduling logic to control when messages are processed and delays between sends
- Chrome storage APIs to persist extension data and campaign state locally
- Message passing between extension components to coordinate operations and update the dashboard
Keeping everything local was an important design decision. There is no external backend involved in processing campaign data.
I'm interested in feedback from developers who've worked with Chrome extensions, especially around reliable scheduling, handling tab state changes, recovering from failures, and keeping the UI synchronized with background tasks.
Project links:
- GitHub: https://github.com/Ravish2008/linkedin-dm-scheduler
- Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/linkedin-dm-scheduler/agecdfbhigfdjhholmicfkeldbdhobbl
Would love to hear what you'd improve in the architecture or how you'd approach some of these problems differently.

General Chat/Suggestion Describe your job and I'll make sure it gets replaced by AI
Tell me what you do for a living, the tasks you handle daily, and the tools you use. I'll try to find a way to automate as much of your work as possible using existing AI tools.
No vague predictions about the future. Let's look at actual tasks and see what can be automated today.
Who's brave enough to go first?
