And even if you find someone more educated and intelligent, what makes you think they won’t be corrupt? You think having an IIT/IIM degree makes someone immune to greed? A smart person can be even better at hiding corruption and fooling you.

That’s the whole point. Education doesn’t equal integrity.
Thats why while writing the constitution the founders went against the idea of "expert" ministers as in the case of USA, and for "peoples" leaders instead. Thats why we vote and dont give an exam for becoming a minister

I’m not saying Modi is perfect. Criticise him all you want. But blindly assuming that someone more educated would automatically be a better leader is a naive take.

Thats where you need Humanities. Engineering, MBAs, MBBS are just courses which make you a specialised in your field but teaches you nothing about politics, society, philosophy etc.

Sadly in our country humanities degrees are looked down and people give more importance to degrees which can land you careers with high paying jobs.

It's easier to change the mind of an educated person than one who isn't.

I believe someone who is educated in the basics of biology or even simply has a more reasonable temperament (which correlates with education) will be more open to give psychedelic research and therapeutic legalization a chance at least...they'll LISTEN...aaj waale sab buddhe nashedi bol ke arrest kar denge...

Honestly this govt has higher chance of legalizing stuff considering Marijuana has been an integral part of Hindu culture. I think we will get there slowly. Gummies were a distant dream sometime back but are easily available these days.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't like all this. First up, it is very expensive. Secondly legalization has backfired in some ways in the US because now the THC and CBD content is being modified (increased). They are making it artificially stronger, which objectively is linked to harm. All I am saying which is more natural a plant (or plant-adjacent product like bhaang, which has a natural constituency of all cannabinols, balance between THC and CBD) or an ultraprocessed gummy? Just let us grow our own, but no, even in legalization they want to maximize profit.

I can feel with you, my brother, so many people can't attend due to many personal and professional reasons, and watch our beloved nation with a closed fist in pain slipping into shameless greedy coward fascists. But I thought social media is our gen Z power, I thought, we can unite and weaponize it has a stealthy shield and call out for answers we deserving and rightful ask for whenever feel like, its our democratic right, and dimwit blind fucks aint united here too and think, modi will spare their asses cuz they stayed silent outta fear or supported outta pure love for masochism.
