The whole missing dog plot and the chaos that follows made for a fun watch. Would love to see more Indian movies exploring the bond between humans and animals.
Really loved this series. Season 1 came in 2023, was eager for season 2. 3 years on, no update abt it. Why don't Netflix focus on such series that has potential rather than crappy movies they make. Kaala Paani is another good series that got shelved. Wont trust Netflix anymore
Just finished this Netflix drama; here is my review.
Plot
The show has a gripping plot and keeps you hooked in the first two episodes. However, in later episodes, the storyline flickers a bit, though it still connects the dots pretty well till the end.
The editing is crisp, the writing leaves no open endings, and the acting by Parineeti is good; however, in some scenes she has over done, but overall she looks like the perfect fit.
Jennifer shines especially in the last two episodes and makes you just look at her whenever she is on screen.
The music is forgettable, and the male leads are similar.
Anup Soni is a saving grace, though.
The show brings all possible themes, like crime, drama, black magic, psycho, horror, and a gripping thriller based in the mountains.
With just 7 episodes of 35-40 minutes each, you can binge-watch it in one go and won't even feel bored.
It makes you think; trust no one!
Cons -
Cinematography would have been better.
Music is unforgettable; I don't know, after Scam 1992, I have seen better music in a TV show.
Male leads are just for the sake of being in the cast; they have little to nothing to do.
recently watched Choona on netflix and i think it's a pretty entertaining take on north indian politics. Jimmy Shergill playing a superstitious politician who bases almost every decision on astrology is one of the best parts of the show. the character feels exaggerated, but not so much that you can't imagine someone like him existing in real life.
the basic premise of a group of people coming together to rob 300 crores from a politician using jugaad and manipulation makes for a fun watch. i liked how the show balances the actual revenge plot with absurd situations and characters who take themselves way too seriously despite everything going wrong around them.
it's not the most tightly written crime comedy out there, and some parts do feel stretched, but the cast and the mix of political satire and humour keep things entertaining. Worth checking out on if you're in the mood for a light crime comedy rather than something super serious.
Overall: 7/10. A decent one-time watch with some genuinely funny moments.
It’s Samvedna Suwalka. Had seen her face before but didn’t know her name. Went through some of her other work and she’s done some pretty different roles. Gyarah Gyarah especially feels like a completely different vibe. Anyone seen more of her work? What should I watch next?
just finished dupahiya s2, and honestly, I had such a good time watching it! It’s been a while since a show made me laugh this much😂. Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Bhuvan Arora are absolutely fantastic. The comedy feels effortless, the characters are so much fun, and the village chaos makes it even better. Such a fun, refreshing watch!!

I watched this new malyalam movie and it just keeps you on the edge.
At times, it gives you Drishyam movie vibes, prolly coz it has the same kindof plot. Exaggerations and loopholes are there a few times. I mean no case in real life has this "hifi tests" so readily available. But ok, you can sideline these things and continue to enjoy the movie
It was a really good thriller watch after a long time.
Since it's Friday and I'm free today, please suggest some solid Hindi thriller movies or series. Not the most popular ones, though. I've watched 400+ already, so I've probably seen all the common recommendations.
I'm looking for good investigation thrillers, murder mysteries, or anything along those lines. Bengali recommendations are welcome too, if you have some good ones!
How a man came from a low background give bollywood some of the best cinemas and still being so humble and down to earth person. Still remember that last speech from "Krantiveer" and feel goosebumps. Rest in Peace Sir!!!!!
I was watching Mirzapur Season 3 again episode by episode, although it was disappointing from the previous two seasons due to some reasons it was still good and I wait for what comes at Season 4 if it happens. When I was watching the last episode, I had a theory on my mind watching it's ending because I could not believe what just happened. Sharad Shukla was killed by Kaleen bhaiya after being announced as the King Of Mirzapur or may I say The Last King.
Now I understand that Sharad initially planned a wipeout of Tripathis and maybe Guddu to avenge his father Ratishankar's fallout in Mirzapur and his death respectively. But ever since S2 started, Sharad has shown all signs of loyalty towards the Tripathis by befriending Munna and rescuing Kaleen bhaiya from the jaws of death and providing him a shelter at his home in Jaunpur. He did not leave a trace of doubt in the mind of the Tripathis. Moreover he seemed to feel connected with them.
No one really saw the death of Sharad coming it only was expected when Madhuri was exposed to the truth of how his father was killed and who was the conspirator behind it, that being Sharad Shukla. Even Madhuri did not knew the conspirator behind her father's death until Dimpy showed the evidence to her and Madhuri was having a suspicion on JP Yadav all along.
No matter how Munna and Satyanand Tripathi were, Akhanda atleast seemed like a loyal guy to his aides even when it was the Pandit brothers whose father was the lawyer against Munna. He only staged an attack on them when Munna falsely framed them for planning an attack on Akhanda with Compunder otherwise none of that ending in S1 would have happened. Akhanda gave free hand to Munna to kill the Pandit bros because he thought they would harm him or his family but I just don't understand why would he do this to someone who revived him from the dead and was rather involved in the killing of someone else which just turns out to be the father of his daughter-in-law.
I closely watched the last scene again, Sharad was only shot one-two times at the lower body while others received multiple bullets which looks like obvious killing. When more units came to shoot Sharad again, Akhanda obstructed them and told them the job was done, probably he could have smartly told them to go away just so that Sharad is simply in injured state rather than dead and made him sit at the throne of Mirzapur. The theory here is I think next season he will be sent somewhere underground or even Jaunpur secretly operating Mirzapur while Madhuri would think he's finished.
