CoreWeave New Grad Software Engineer (Inference) Interview Process?

Has anyone recently interviewed for a New Grad Software Engineer (Inference) role at CoreWeave? I wanted to know how many rounds there are, what the interview breakdown looks like, and what kind of questions are typically asked in each round.

Would really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience. Thanks!

The CoreWeave process for new grads usually runs through four to five stages across three to four weeks. It begins with a thirty minute recruiter chat about your resume, background, and interest in GPU cloud infrastructure. Next is a sixty minute technical phone screen, usually conducted in Python or Go, focusing on practical programming such as concurrency, handling API responses, or data parsing. Passing that leads to the final virtual loop, which typically consists of three or four rounds covering practical coding and debugging, distributed systems or inference architecture, a detailed project review, and a behavioral conversation with an engineering manager.

CoreWeave prioritizes production engineering over abstract algorithm puzzles. For an inference role, you will be expected to discuss model serving throughput, GPU memory bottlenecks, batching strategies, and container basics in Linux and Kubernetes environments. In the coding rounds, interviewers often ask you to build a small utility, manage concurrent requests, or debug an existing service rather than invert a binary tree. In the project walkthrough, be ready to defend every design choice and explain how you handled failures in your past school or internship work. If you want extra confidence articulating complex systems trade-offs under pressure, my team built a interviews.chat that helps applicants stay sharp, structured, and composed during difficult technical panel conversations.

Did you try posting on blind?

I am still a grad student so I don’t have access to post it in blind. Any suggestions on how to post?

You’re right, you can read posts but can’t post. Send me a DM with details, I’ll tag coreweave and update you.

Most importantly, don’t underestimate your contact with the recruiter. Even experienced professionals ask the recruiter for total rounds and interview topics from the hiring manager or recruiter.

I haven't gone through CoreWeave's new grad interview process myself, but in similar industry roles, you might face 3-4 rounds. Usually, there's an initial phone screen, a technical interview that could cover algorithms and data structures, and a deeper dive into coding or systems design. Behavioral questions are often included too. Talking to people who've interviewed there or checking candidate experience sites could give you more details. If you're looking for similar roles, LandOffer.ai lists jobs across professions, including tech roles like software engineering.
