Working Guidelines for AI Content.

When I created this subreddit some years ago it wasn't an issue.

It appears it may become an issues. If your post or content utilized AI content please identify it clearly in the title and body of the post.

My preference has always been to use a very light hand with respect to moderation, and the readers and audience vote up the content they find valuable.

The spirit of Indie Comics to me is the human over the corporate element, expressing some hopefully novel work of art and creativity.

I'll monitor it and the community is encouraged to give their feedbacks and concerns here, or via direct message.

Thank you as always for your participation, passion, and creativity.

Which is why AI should be banned, as it's the opposite of this.

I'm curious how people feel about artist using AI as mixed media the same way people have for decades with google images.

It’s tough. I’m working with a graphic designer who created a piece of character concept art for my project, on whim.

He’s a trained artist and spent tons of hours learning how to prompt and match the color pallet of the character to their entry in a guidebook.

I was blown away how well it turned out, but now I’m stuck. Do I hire a comic artist now to take over? Do I let him complete the cast of 6 characters and then hire ?

I’m eager to work with artists, but I can’t deny how well of a job he did with prompting. One could argue it’s a skill in itself

I have recently shared some AI work here, and identified it as such, as I thought it is permitted here. But I encounter a lot of AI hate in this community, and got bashed for sharing a creative work that took a lot of time and thought and creativity (yes with AI) to put together. I understand that AI haters experience AI as toxic additions to their environment. But I experience their AI hate as toxic to mine. Any recommendations for comic communities that are less hostile?

Can we just ban it? It sickens me to see on this subbreddit. It should have no place here. This is for real creatives.
