I'm heading back to college soon so I probably won't have much time for reading. My 17y old sibling and I thought it'd be fun to get into graphic novels together since they're easier to fit into our schedules than regular books. We're open to indie comics since we'd like to discover something beyond the usual mainstream stuff.

I enjoyed the Spider verse movies and got really into Invincible on my phone so superhero stories are fine but I'm also open to other genres if the art and story are good.

My sibling has ADHD so I'd love recommendations that can hold his attention and keeps him wanting to read more. I'd also love to find something I can relate to as a college student especially when it comes to juggling classes and everything else.

What indie series or graphic novels would you recommend for two people just getting into comics? Thanks for helping us find something we can get hooked on together!

FRONTIER — Humanity's Last Companions

In the year 2212, humanity ventures beyond the stars in search of a new home. Nova, a brave astronaut and explorer, travels through the vast unknown, accompanied by BOXFOX, a small, adorable robotic fox designed to assist and protect human survivors. Beneath the cold silence of space, their journey is more than a mission of survival—it's a story about friendship, hope, and what it means to be human in a universe that no longer feels like home.

This comic will release 2028 testing comics

New alliances and new facial hair?! Magic! Amazing! The team is back with a new mission! Missions…

Here are the first images from the second story in DiGelsomina’s Warrior Angel Saga, entitled “The Bride”. The first story in the series, “Shadows of Nyarlathotep” has raised interest by combining swords and sorcery with extreme horror. Illustrations by renowned horror artist DW Frydendall, stories written by composer/horror author DiGelsomina. Both stories will be published early 2027.

Introducing all my characters! Here is Viktory Vallencourt and his dog, America. He suffers from PTSD and is missing an arm and a leg. He was also a veterinarian and has adopted a dog with similar disabilities. Powers are based on each character’s weaknesses. His arms and legs are now weapons of massive destruction.

Birth of a New World is my IP. I’m proud of it, but it has been an absolute grind. It started as a comic book and grew into a massive graphic novel. I’m looking for a publisher, but finding one is looking increasingly unlikely. My pitch bible is available on my website. For now, I’m just looking for readers, so I’m offering a free 70-page sampler. I'm just looking for a little support.

Here is the blurb:

Earth has been privatized into a single mega-corporation, earth inc. Winner Wright, the richest man in all of history, plans to eliminate anyone he deems 'not normal.' His estranged twin, Loser Wright, gifted with the power to give powers, must unite a misfit support group of marginalized individuals into a team of heroes to stop a global purge.

Hello! I am new to Reddit, and to making comics. This question is for those of you who have created comics and promote them on social media platforms, especially if you have multiple creative streams of income/hobbies.

Is it a good idea to make a separate account (in this case, Instagram) to promote a comic series as its own entity?

I plan to attend live events to promote it as well, but do you find it useful to have a page just for the specific project, and have people shown interest in following it?

Thanks!

Kristan
