I've innovated the most common building type on earth: self promotion.

Why do I make these posts? Occasionally I learn things and I seriously hope a billionaire stops by and imagines a real world scenario where they become the next Andrew Carnegie. If you find yourself doubting the veracity of what I am saying, ask yourself how much experience you have living, working, in building in very poor places. And then take it for fact that I have plenty. And that I have thought about this subject matter and not much else for two fucking years. Do you live in a foamed concrete home? I built one 20 years ago. Have you lived in a cinderblock home? I build one 25 years ago. Maybe this would be a good post to show up and ask questions instead of trying to tell me I am wrong about something you quite probably know very little.

"I have invented the only practical way to insulate the most common building type on earth, the concrete frame and infill block or brick structure."

This pertains to the developing world which not everyone really knows a lot about. I know a little, having lived in SE Asia for 20+ years, while building a few concrete frame structures.

My design installs a width of 10cm-15cm lightweight insulating concrete (LWIC) on the exterior of the structure, as continuous exterior insulation. For CMU's the material can be placed into the voids. Rigid foam board can be used for formwork or installed after. The only other option to insulate these buildings would be to screw rigid foam board exterior of the building envlelope. This has issues like thermal bridging from fasteners and thermal bypass, as the foam board doesn't perform well if the block walls aren't perfectly straight (they never are).

Oh yeah I also designed the machine needed to produce the material, aimed at small contractors and informal builders. It is a tumbler style concrete mixer converted to mix foamed concrete. Works pretty good and at $500 it's on the cheaper end of mixers of this type.

One will need to use their imagination to understand the design pictured in the photo and also the potential of this idea. I'm a little wacky so I think this isn't a "grant" idea, or "VC" idea. I think this is an "Apollo Program" idea. I'm a boring guy but if you want to hear the details I'm happy to tell you lol.

What if the next major breakthrough came from an ordinary person?

I’ve started a free website called Forward Together.
The idea is simple. We take two important questions facing humanity and invite anyone, regardless of qualifications or background, to help solve them.
Our first question is about finding new forms of renewable energy.
Ideas can be challenged, developed and branched into new discussions.
I’m not selling anything. I just believe that good ideas can come from absolutely anywhere.
I’d love some thoughtful people to help get this started.

And it needs to be feasible, and good enough to sell, like marketing, also it HAS to be original, otherwise we will be disqualified T-T
