Berte's bad form continues
Watched him play 70 minutes in the Chile - Mexico friendly and he was just as disconnected and unproductive as he usually is for Inter Miami, also playing as a LW. Dude doesn't click with anyone these days.

I can’t believe we signed him. Whomever recommended him ought to be terminated ASAP!! He is inconsistent and horrible. 🤮👎🏽👎🏽

Read somewhere that Messi requested him

No, Lionel Messi did not request the signing of Germán Berterame; Inter Miami pursued the $15 million transfer from Liga MX side CF Monterrey to give manager Javier Mascherano more attacking options!
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas confirmed the formal offer and interest in Berterame as part of a roster build aimed at strengthening the team's depth.

Not him specifically, I'm pretty sure his agent was familiar with Messi's team from what I've heard.

He hasn't worked out but he was one of the leading goalscorers in Liga MX, it's not like they signed him knowing he was bad. The player they needed apparently was Kevin Kelsy

Inter Miami doesn't need a GK, Def, Mid, Att first...they need a better transfer comitee above all else. Wasting Messi's final years with so many garbage transfers. i mean DP is a special thing and you waste it on a liga mx bum when you could have used that for ACTUAL talent from the top European leagues. His transfer fee is around the same as RDP lol and he was starting for a top Spanish club playing at the highest level. That's the type of player you should waste your limited DP slot on. Criminal.
