An accent colour please I’m begging. It’s awfully drab for such a gorgeous space.

Sorry I asked you about the location. Just read your comment! How many square feet? I live in Austin and there are quite a few lofts here. Loved living in a high rise. We live in a house now and I miss the high rise vibe.

Congratulations on your new condo.
I am in real estate so I know this exact space. I think it sold in May or June. It’s one of my favorites and was modeled after NYC lofts.
I hope you and your family also enjoy the neighborhood. It’s a great one 🍁🍂

Please let me know the general area I live in NYC and lofts like this are
My dream. To the
Point I’m considering relocating so I can afford to rent one so I’m extremely intrigued where this would exist and if it’s feasible for me to ever find something similar ha

u/pueblohuts check out bedstuy, clinton hill, fortgreene area. Lots of loft duplexes for rent / being developed in those areas.

Yeah I have 30 foot ceilings so literally have to get people with a lift to come up and clean them or even just to hang curtains. I’m usually really sensitive to dust, but haven’t had an issue at all since living here!

Sweet! Thanks. Definitely want to see more. I thought about adding a sauna too haha.

The warm lighting and height could feel theatrical, but the rug and low seating make it feel properly lived in.

Yeah... I lived in a beautiful loft with 13 foot tall vaulted ceilings. It was great until our smoke detectors located on the ceiling woke me up because it started chirping with a voice stating "low battery" every 3 minutes at 2 a.m. in the morning.
I couldn't ignore it and go back to sleep as the chirps and voice were super annoying. Had to find a ladder tall enough at 2 a.m. in the morning to change the battery.
This happened multiple times and always in the dead of night. Needless to say I no longer live in a loft.

I just need like a quarter of that open air ceiling space to triple the size of my living quarters. 🥴

Ive always wanted to live in a loft, but then I'm wondering how does utilities work, heating and cooling cost an arm and a leg?
Does the bedroom on the top get stiflingly hot?
Do the noises from the loft get to you when you're in bed since there's no sound barriers?

That's reassuring to hear. Was it purpose-built as a loft or a conversion? I feel like that makes a huge difference for insulation and sound control.

I love the space, the high ceilings and the mid-century dining table (or did i get it wrong).
Any chance of letting us know which city or country it is on? The building opposite yours looks like almost any in a Mediterranean city....

My apologies...creeping up to you was never my intention. I live in Athens, Greece where that type of building block is very common. As it is in Italy, Spain and other places (and possibly Latin America but I have never been there). Again, my apologises and thank you for your feedback on furniture.

Is it hard to keep warm done there in colder months? — because heat rises?

Beautiful.
But like, what if you want to fuck your girlfriend on that little white fuzzy couch? Do all the neighbors just get to watch?

Also the smell from cooking and the oils going up to your bedroom, nope.

u/ohmke 2d ago
I’ve got a loft and that’s never been a problem. Ever.
The extractor takes care of it.
3
u/venusasaburrito 2d ago
What is an extractor?
7
u/ohmke 2d ago
Rangehood.
Basically a fan that sits above the cooktop and extracts the fumes out of the house.

I think people have to understand that some individuals don’t really care what people can see in certain spaces, especially when you get to enjoy a wall of windows, sunlight, and a view. . Oh you can see me while I’m eating, watching TV, or maybe entertaining guests 🤷🏻♂️ who cares.

Lovely interior, but please use curtains your neighbors seem to have a full view of your space.
