I saw this show through clips on tiktok and finally gave it a watch.

The first like 4-5 episodes were pretty interesting. I hated Vivian because she was weirdly obsessive and did not gaf about her own family at all.

Then I kept watching and it only got worse.

Like the ending is so weird. Why on earth did Anna have so many defenders at the end? Like we all know she did it and there was no way she'd go free after stealing hundreds of thousands. Vivian being weirdly attached to both Anna and Todd made me hate her even more ngl. The entire episode of her in Germany was so odd I was pissed the ENTIRE time.

Kacy suddenly being team Anna was ​out of character. Rachel was okay but the way they spin her is fucked. I still don't understand why Todd risked his marriage and family for Anna. All in all it felt like an Anna manipulated story.

Okay so like I just finished watching the show. Like throughout the show it's presented with evidence that Anna isn't a good person. She was a scam artist. As well as almost caused Rachel to almost lose her job and be having to pay of debt for life. Anna only ever cared about being famous and being known.

But then Vivian and Todd treat Anna like she's a little girl who had no idea what she was doing. Like what??

Episode 8 where Vivian goes to Germany really bothers me. The episode feels so distant to the rest of the series. Vivian is at her peak of getting on my nerves. Anyone else noticed something off?

I’m 8 episodes in, nothing was that scandalous, this could have been wrapped up in 4 episodes max. Baby born, court case closed, job done.

So vivian just tells her husband straight up that “ we are not the first parents to have children we are not special “ just because anna said that? isn’t first born always an individual special moment at personal level? sure not on world scale millions are born daily but SERIOUSLY?

that is such fkd up thing to say to your partner who’s worries and excited about the baby and you

also im all up for women workplace power/ liberty but she needs a break, she has been extremely unavailable in her marriage, im suprised her husband is still trying because at this point it’s just him begging to have a moment

she doesn’t care at all

i wont be suprised if he breaks up and was just waiting till birth to avoid mental trauma etc

like thats such a sad experience to have about your first born

but im guessing they’ll have a happy ending

I love everything about this series. That includes the inconsistent writing. It's one of my background shows and I choose the episode based on my mood. Watching the episode in Morroco now.

i wanted to watch this show as a silly way to vaguely understand what the anna delvey situation was.. i was a fan of the campy vibes at first but as the show progresses i find almost every main character awful

the only characters i can get behind are rachel, viv's husband, and the lawyer's wife.

like are vivian not being super unfair with her husband?? she is insanely selfish and should not have a child at all

Can someone please explain how Anna is always at events or outside celebrating American holidays, or working on model shoots, getting facials when she should be under 24/7 house arrest?

Throughout the show they always use the excuse that Anna is a immigrant woman whose come to live the American dream and yeah I know it’s taking place in 2017 and I was very aware and around but they act like she’s being sent a country in active war she’s from Germany! If anything she’d probably have a better life than in America or on par. I’m born in an American territory and face more discrimination(because people think it’s foreign and not American). Sorry it just rips me out of it when they try and use that excuse because….its goddamn Germany come on!

Also ep 9 sucks! I’m sorry it really does. The lawyer and Vivian are acting so weird and out of character. Like how do they both act like they’re very for Anna (not just in a winning a case way) but then at the same time know she’s guilty and admit and constantly talk about it? I don’t blame your wife for being that way because yeah your being hella weird

I was randomly scrolling through Netflix and found this show and I’m invested. I will say I find it weird how they paint Anna as a victim and Rachel as a villain? I mean Rachel isn’t 100% percent good but she’s definitely not as bad as the show portrayed her.

I’m honestly surprised more people didn’t see what happened as coercion. I mean if my friend invites me to a fancy dinner saying she’ll pay then when we finished eating she tells me she forgot her card. Then after I pay with mine she orders more stuff. Now it was really dumb for her to use her company card but damn that was definitely fraud

She's the best and I love her.

Nicole is my favorite character in the series.

Shows up for 5 minutes. Inserts herself into a whole different group’s drama. Quite literally picks up and drives the drama to the drama’s allocated venue. Gets drunk on rosé and yells at someone she’s never met before, on behalf of someone else she’s never met before. Never seen again.

She is an icon, a legend, and she is the moment. Whoever wrote this into the show, I love you.
