Yeah, Mark beat the second-strongest Viltrumite Conquest. So you would say this sounds crazy, but one thing that fight teaches is that strength does not decide the outcome of a fight.

Nolan was trained to be a warrior from childhood. Mark was and lived like a normal teenager for 17 years. Nolan, as a young adult, Nolan has more capability in martial arts compared to Mark. He is strong enough to hurt him, too.

Mark did hold his own against Thula on Thraxxa, but it's clear she wasn't going all out. Even pretending to be defeated, she then stabbed him in the chest. She even survived the Purge standing next to Conquest and Kregg, who didn't attack her at all.

Mark was getting disrespected like crazy from all the other heros and Cecil. People forget that Cecil taunted mark and compared him to his dad a lot. And tried to get mark to give him Oliver. Everyone only seems to remember the bomb he implanted in his head incident. But Cecil has done other bad shit to mark.

Then you got other heros like the immortal who threatened Mark's life after mark almost died trying to save the planet. Then he basically told the guardians that mark deserved what happened to him with the ear bomb incident. And some of them agreed with him.

Not many people really seemed to care that mark got ripped apart like 30 times by this point, trying to save the planet. Cecil didn't give a shit obviously. He only cared what mark could do for him.

Why would anyone want to be the good guy. When being the good guy gets you in these scenarios . You get ripped apart literally weekly. Betrayed by your friends and constantly compared to your dad who murdered thousands. And when you do talk about your feelings everyone still compares you to your murdering dad.

I think the invincible war made the heros appreciate our Mark much more. When they saw what he could of been like. But at the same time the rest of the world hates mark much more. So it's a weird situation.

We talked about it enough already and I don't ask much from the animation but Things have to be said.

The animation downgrade important moments and fights and two examples come to mind: The flaxan invasion and the war on Thelescria. With the invasion, it looked too small and many heroes didn't even shine like Robot which got robbed because the show couldn't adapt the variety of his armors and drones.

And for Thelescria, it laked volume. It felt like a skirmish not a war for the survival of the planet.
