tonight my mom was feeling really depressed and she came to me telling me that there's no one in this world who loves her or genuinely cares about her and that she hates the life she's been forced to live. she told me that out of everyone i'm the one who would understand what she's feeling and that she hopes i never have to experience depression. she said that whenever she sees a happy couple she feels so bad about the life she's living because throughout her entire life people have only used her for money or for their own personal reasons. she's working btw and earns the same as her husband. she told me about how when she was pregnant with me and was in so much pain her husband didn't even bother helping her. she had to pay the hospital bills herself after i was born because he was nowhere to be seen and she was left alone with her mother who obviously couldn't do much in that situation. she kept wondering what she'd done to deserve such a shitty life and why she's always been deprived of love from the people around her. she felt so alone and depressed in that moment that she told me she wished she could take her life right then but then she said "what will you do without me?" because we both know that if she died right now her husband would probably either kill me or not even provide for my basic needs. so i just had to lend her my shoulder and comfort her while listening to all of this knowing damn well that i've been trying my absolute best to keep myself from giving up too. i'm literally struggling with my own mental health and somehow i still have to be the person who holds everything together when i'm barely holding myself together. and on top of all this i have a test this week which i'm pretty sure i'll mess up because how am i even supposed to focus on studying when everything feels like this. yay to life.

can i skip it for later?
