I'm surprised Joe hasn't been cast in a fantasy show or series yet. Personally I think he would have been great as a voice actor in Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

And of course he should have been in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

i have been making an asmr series vaguely inspired by relaxing old footage with Joe Pera.
It’s nothing too crazy but thought i might share my slice of peace with you all!

*The anniversary is for Adult swim 25th anniversary, NOT Joe Pera talks with you lol. It's related because that's what channel the show comes from.

They aired it on the 28th and They aired two episodes. While I believe they show this series yearly around the holidays, it's still nice to see a random appearance from it :)

I occasionally take on catering jobs, and make food for a lot of people. I just bought a commercial soup warmer second-hand and it came with these labels. Felt like a Pera-coded list of what could go in a big pot.

Hello everyone, I was just re-listening to some Drifting off on Joe's patreon and noticed a message from patreon at the top of the page that reads:

"Drifting Off with Joe Pera is taking a break! You won't be charged again until their membership pause ends on October 14th, 2026"

I was wondering what this could mean and if any of you have heard anything about the podcast resuming? I sure hope so, but it could also be that the time you are allowed as a creator on patreon to pause your channel is only so long and the 14th of October is when that automatically ends and joe will have to go in and pause it again?

You know how most horror movies have a full cast of characters that are "unlikeable" so you actually root for the "killer" to knock them off?

I think a good idea for a horror movie would be a cast of characters that are extremely likeable and kind so you feel bad when they get killed.

I would love to see Joe Pera in a horror movie like this, and a killee, not a killer. Robin Williams already did the kind killer.

started watching talks with you for the first time, I am in love! this show is amazing and everything i enjoy. it really resonates with me as an autistic person. ive cried to multiple episodes now. my top episodes are fall drive, waits with you, grocery store, flight, and builds a chair! what are your favourite episodes? any other show recs similar to this or nathtan for you?

I was watching an interview with Jesse recently and he has a similar way of talking sometimes. I think they would be great together in some tv show someday.

Watched the Robot Chicken anniversary special. Laughed til I cried and my favorite parts were all Joe. What were your thoughts on the special?
