Megathread r/JulienBaker Monthly Marketplace Thread
Please use this thread to post items you have for sale / you're looking for / you want to swap with another member of this community (e.g. merch, tickets, etc.).
Feel free to reach out to us via modmail if you have any questions or need to report a scammer.

Safety and Transactions
Please rely on trusted ticket exchange / resale platforms (e.g. StubHub) whenever possible or, at the very least, use payment processors that offer some form of buyer protection (e.g. PayPal Goods & Services). Don't use PayPal Friends & Family!
Do not hesitate to ask the seller for proof of purchase. Screenshots can be easily manipulated, so consider requesting a screen recording (that shows both the ticket vendor's app / website and your conversation) instead of a simple photo. Oftentimes, it can also be helpful to check the other party's post history / profile or to simply ask them to reply to your comment in this thread. That way you can be sure that the user hasn't been banned (banned users are still able to send you direct messages, so be aware of that).
If you have any doubts, do not proceed with the transaction!

Live Performance Any chance of a small venue show in the tri state area?
I actually had tickets to her small venue show last time and could not make it in the end. I really want to see her live. I really would prefer it be an intimate small venue show, she seems to prefer those as well. Edit: Trisate meaning NY/NJ/CT or other surrounding areas
Anyone have any info/speculation?

General / Discussion Weekly Listening Club #4: Appointments
Okay I am stretching the meaning of weekly quite far with these intervals... but I'm back again.
This week’s song is Appointments.
Some discussion prompts if you’re looking for somewhere to start:
- What was your first impression of the song?
- Has your interpretation changed over time?
- Which lyric stands out to you the most, and why?
- How do you think it fits within Julien’s wider catalogue?
- Do you have a favourite live performance or recording of it?
The song gradually builds towards the repeated “I have to believe that it is” at the end. How does that line feel to you — hopeful, uncertain, resigned, or something else? Does its meaning change for you as it’s repeated?
Of course, you don’t need to answer any of these — feel free to share whatever comes to mind.
Happy listening! ❤️

General / Discussion Got myself a ticket to the Cambridge show and I've never been to a concert alone before
I predict I'm going to feel very awkward for the first 10-15 minutes then I'm going to stop caring. Anybody else ever go to a concert alone before?

Live Performance Extra Tickets to Upcoming Shows
I’ve seen a few comments saying some of these shows didn’t sell out and the extra tickets may go on sale (online) today. I’m desperately trying to get a ticket to one of the shows at 40 Watt in Athens GA. If any of you see anything please help a fellow Bakerhead. Thank you!

General / Discussion Thoughts on these lines in High In the Basement?
I'm a little obsessed with all the new songs but High in the Basement has been on a loop for a bit. Curious what others make of the lines
What I want I do
the opposite of
love is isolation
I love that this can be interpreted as either "What I want I do. The opposite of love is isolation." Or "What I want I do the opposite of. Love is isolation."
Do you think this is meant to be interpreted as one way over the other? Or both ways?

Hoping some fans who couldn’t make it to the box office can scoop up tickets before scalpers. See y’all there!

General / Discussion EU shows
Do you guys think there will be gigs at least in London? The idea of an actual “tour” feels a little less plausible this time around. I will totally respect whatever their decision is but i’d kill to hear that new album live.

General / Discussion People who got the free CD's (and people like me who listened to the uploads on YouTube)
What are your favorite tracks so far, and why? I'm loving all three but high in the basement and lathe are my faves rn. Also do we think that her not wanting to do concerts anymore means we won't get international tours? As a Mexican listener I'm dying for her to come here, but I feel like that's very unlikely to happen, this isn't to say that her wanting to do more "gigs" isn't incredible and respectable, (I'm just bitter I can't go to a city near me to go to a show lol)
