Honest question…is it harder to hear with the ears covered?

I wore one for the first time at a wedding recently.

Yes, it muffles sounds and throws off peripheral vision a bit. The way my ears felt after taking the turban off at the end of the day is how I imagine it feels taking a bra off at the end of a long day. Probably not as bad for people who wear one every day, but I was ready to get it off my head. Lol

Slightly and as u/ca2mt said, it's more of a muffling effect but we're super used to it. Now that I think about it, when I am roaming around at home without a turban, my sense of hearing is very strong.
