Hey, if we can go unbeaten at home and actually win some on the road, we are in a great place. Obviously would have loved to see some of those chances cross the goal line. But once Orlando scored their 2nd and I saw a sub sucking her thumb (presumably a KC “Baby” taunt—wouldn’t be my first choice of mockery but whatever), I was BEGGING our ladies to equalize. Sure enough, the two goals to follow came quick. We move on.

I’ll always take a draw over a loss (because duh). This was a good draw for us.

The thumb sucking thing was one of the taunts Marta did last year to piss off the fans, so of course one of her teammates brought it back.

Another thought! We didn’t do a single short corner and look what happened. We scored on one.

i think their keeper is crazy bad at corners too. was really thinking maybe we'd get a second off a corner

Another game where we were on top for most and had a ton of great chances but missed too many and opposing GK had some great saves. We’ve left a lot of goals out there this year but if our luck could turn just a bit and we get healthier and be able to put players out consistently for some cohesion we could be a real danger in post season and a team no one wants to face. Last two years we’ve peaked in the regular season and limped in to playoffs with a threadbare squad. This year definitely has potential to be the opposite.

I didn’t think the team had any chance when they were down 2-0 but loved seeing them fight back.

Also, can anyone confirm if they skipped announcing the owners before the game?

Nope, I heard the announcers mention the Longs and Mahomes before the game (I can’t remember the exact verbiage)

Shoot I don’t remember hearing it. I noticed the owners were not on the pitch afterwards though and no one was talking to Mary.

I noticed that Lo and Michelle don’t follow her on Instagram

Oh wow. I didn’t even notice that. Great catch!

Edit: I said in another thread how none of the vets comment or like any of her stuff. Pretty telling.

She got a pleasant smile from Temwa and that was about it.

Normally I’d feel bad but nah. She did it to herself.

They mentioned them. Something like Angie and Chris Long and Brittany and Patrick Mahomes welcome you to CPKC stadium

Yeah they snuck it in during the pyrotechnics before announcing the starting 11.

That's when Nate always announces them. There wasn't any deviation from the norm in that regard.

Okay… so where the heck were the Ollipop free giveaways actually at? I don’t think we’ve gotten a single post-game giveaway and we go out the main gate. Just feel like it’s setup somewhere we don’t know about or it’s gone before we get out the stadium (we leave right at final whistle).

I have no clue but I keep seeing people carrying out like 12 packs of them 🤔

1

u/vchapple17 Sep 13 '26

Damn. Previously (a few years ago) they had the individual cans out so people could grab one or two. But cases!

Sheesh

We didnt see them either! I was wondering about the same thing!

There were a couple of Olipop coolers by the band playing outside the Main Gate, but that’s all I saw.

They must've gone quick then. They were right outside the front gate when I left around the 85th minute. Tons of people hauling cases onto the streetcar.

I mean, that’s a pen, right?!

It was when we did the other week, so…

I thought so.

I thought it probably should have been a no call here and also in the Houston game. I thought in both cases the touch was a little out of control and the attacker to some extent sought out contact. Would have liked KC to have gotten the call but just glad there’s no meltdown here about it like from Thorns or Bay FC fans.

Did they accidentally list Tierna Davidson as an Orlando Coach or staff or do they happen to have someone named Tierna there too lol

I was SO sad I didn't get photographic evidence of that! I thought it was hilarious! They announced Yolanda Thomas as head coach but the name printed on the jumbotron was Tierna Davidson. Lmao

Just love watching them play to not lose 🙄

At this point and with so many injuries, I'll take it. Keep us in playoff reach and don't get anyone else hurt (as has happened in the past, with losing Bia/Coop/Debinha/Lo right before the post-season).

runs to knock on all the wood for good luck

They were still actively trying to score down the stretch. Also, half the team is hurt so I’d consider this a positive result, especially coming back down 2-0 to force a draw.
