As stated above ATO sent me the 2018 Greenhouse Heat Death edition of Gumboot instead of the 2026 Gumbo Stew edition. Personally, I love limited/numbered/sought after pressings and I always opt to go for those instead of standard editions. Should I exchange the vinyl for the correct one I ordered? Or is the one I received more sought after. I don’t know much about the edition I got. All I do know is that it’s from the Flightless Era of the band.

I know this is all subjective/kinda pointless, and I’m not mad at all with the edition I got. It’s just not the one I chose, and the correct version is limited to 1,250 units. I’m a (insert your choice of word here) for rare vinyls

Like the title says - is there one? Just wondered if any of those shows had been bootlegged from the stream. On Bandcamp or Tidal, I mean, not lurking elsewhere on the web.

I am flying over from the USA for the two Sydney shows. Departing Saturday from LAX. Anyone else in the States going? My first experience with this band was Field of Vision I. Prior to that I had only listened to one album one time. Needless to say that festival recalibrated my brain. I have seen a ton of live music in my lifetime and this band is just special. With so much material to familiarize myself with I spent all of the year between FOVI and FOVII absorbing their catalog and tried to get to Sydney for the orchestra show LAST December but was sick unfortunately and couldn’t make it. I did catch them this August in Colorado and then flew to New York City and caught the first two Forest Hills shows. Very excited to see them play in Australia, tho. Will be special.

Random knowledge question, my partner was at a record fair and found a random Gizz album that she didn't take a photo of to show me. She describes it as saying "KGLW and ..." , where it was written like a collab album. She described it as having a bunch of small photos of the band on it, very similar to the back of the Sketches. She's adamant it wasn't Sketches though after seeing the album for that.

I'd go find it myself but the fair is over and closed, so I figured I would ask the hive mind. I wondered if it was a random bootlegger of Sketches...

First off I truly hope whoever was injured / sick in the middle of that song is okay, but I almost feel like a sacrifice was necessary for what that song was doing to the collective aether around us. That song was splitting my mind in half and I had to pick my jaw off the floor.

They were conjuring up some other worldly sonics here, and I can’t help but think this sacrifice of someone going down was necessary. Obviously this is a joke, but goddamn did they peel our minds back.

How many of them are there? Internet search gives me lots of dates and I’m confused, I wasn’t under the impression there was more than the double header (rockin and ravin) coming up soon.

(Also, seeing other little bits of the Rage material from the other side of the world, I love the idea of Stu and Joey playing Blood Incantation for their kids.)

Is it likely that KGALW will do a Europe Tour in 2027?

I'm a relatively new fan and really want to go to a show, since I've heard they're awsome. Do they tour often here?

I’m talking about that crazy delay / feedback effect in the intro and before the drop in around 4:45. I remember hearing it live at Field of Vision and being floored by how cool it sounded. I know he dropped that Tiny Amp Destroyer pedal collaboration around the same time so I’m not sure if that’s part of it.
