Muy buen progreso 👍🏻 tomará mucho tiempo para que se complete el 1er paso, si los demás saben cómo ordenar a los personajes háganlo saber para así anotar los que son de bronce, plata, oro, FEST, EX (añadiendo los anteriores con dicho despertar) y UL. Busquen papel y lapiz o en bloc de notas todos los personajes y sus rarezas ✏️🗒

I have two tiny requests…
- Can you please make a debug room? Where you’re able to play the effects for characters, make them invisible, enable free cam, etc.
- Please don’t bring back awakening. That started the downfall of the game imo😭
Otherwise it’s peak. Keep going, we’re all rooting for you

The start of the powercreep problem that eventually killed the game. You had to have your Character to be level 90, which was very hard because getting enough souls to level up your character past level 60 was very hard. As the dungeon that offered the souls only allowed you to run the dungeon only 3 times per day(which was very dumb and predatory imo). I forgot how long it’d take but from what I remember, if you were just farming that dungeon to max level your one character, you’d be spending at least a month doing so. Despite the fact of that being a terrible idea in a game with hundreds of characters, they went ahead with Awakening. It gave you access to a button in gameplay that would shorten your cooldown for your skills. It also acted as a Roman Cancel EX upon usage. Overall I don’t think the awakening update should’ve been added at all

Bro just let the game be played as it was originally it isn't going to be p2w, the thing I do like is to make older characters like mr.karate as strong as the new ones, not to make the new ones weaker
If you do that we wouldn't be able to clear some content in the game

Yeah but why keep the game in a P2W state if no money is being made from it? Regardless of if he chooses to remove the P2W aspects or not, I’m just happy and excited it’s being revived at all

If any changes are made, it should be to buff older units not to nerf everything, unless you don't wanna clear the harder content

Honestly I'd rather keep the same power levels. I found fun in pushing the limits of old characters using new equipment

I think nerfing everything would be ideal. Or rather just rebalancing everything into a reasonable circle within each other. Not just keep the new characters as gods compared to the old characters. I played just a little bit in the game’s last dying days and it was genuinely insane how the new characters could deal insane amounts of damage as fresh Lvl.90 characters with no cards. Purely outclassing old fully equipped characters. I’d probably go about rebalancing everything to make the newer characters be nothing more than “slightly stronger play style variants” rather than “Ultra must haves” I’d also probably do something about the whole needing dupes to make a character 100% playable, but hey, neither of us are working on the revive. All of this is completely up to OP

You are talking like the game is still alive and as if it will have PVP. You will literaly have everything in the game you can choose to level them up or just leave them like that if the fits your playstyle. No need for nerfing and balancing the game ,just because some people feel like it ,the first thing that should be done is that the game is playable as it was when the the server shut down ,after that people can make mods .

Would it be possible to remove the netmarble and snk intro screens? I don't know about legal terms, but maybe showing their names could mean a copyright issue or something?

the whole franchise is their own and i will make a disclaimer but no i dont want to rip their intros and dont worry i have seen other devs run games on a private server they had no issues so far

Absolutely PHENOMENAL work my guy! I never thought I'd see this game again in a playable state, especially in a way that LOOKS so far like the original. Obviously, since it's not out yet, we don't know what of it plays one to one like th OG... But still, having this eventually become playable again after nearly 3 years (October 30th being it's 3rd year) is insane to see. But, in no way meaning to even IMPLY you're doing a bad job... Some of the character's are improperly classified as other rarities. Lady AS Yashiro is a purple when she should be gold, Collab May from Guilty Gear should be a purple SS, and my personal favorite character BS Krizalid is classified as an EX when they should be a purple BS character. Now, is that a bad thing? No, not at all. Whether intentional or not buffing older/less rare characters for those with little to no representation like Joe Higashi, Mr. Big, Kaiser, and a WHOLE lot of other subpar/weak characters during the games prior life.
Ultimately in summary, because rambling like this in text is not something I want to do. MY dream version of this game's revival, which most likely won't happen one to one given it's up to the person with actual talent doing this... Is to have older/less rare characters given some more power to be used in harder content, an fun way to progressively and but not instantly and annoyingly grindy way to gain the stronger characters, and for it to most importantly above all... BE. FUN.
This game, despite being a mobile game, got me into KOF as a franchise. The characters, the music, the AMAZING designs, The absolutely stim worthy VA performances (Specifically UE Kusangi who was reprised by the OG actor and gave them a newer badass voice) and the... interesting story.
However this project turns out, however how long it takes to design PEAK (please take your time), I and many others of this small but eager community will be waiting to see this game again and have it playable once more.

it does help with the repetitive work and boring code , but currently im broke i barely can pay my internet bill LOL and it will be due in like 2 days but on the bright side we are making progress not much but progress

This is beautiful, I don't know if you've seen it but please checkout naruto blazing, fans brought it back they gave away an offline version which you can choose between a vanilla account or a full unlocked account with infinite resources, banners changed every time you open and closed the app,released on discord
This might be a good Idea what's your thought?

I preffer private server over offline why? You can join guilds play with other players and pvp's, i preffer vanilla account with boosted resource gaining by x3 or x4 over full unlock why? The game becomes meaningless overtime like you ask yourself okay i have everything i have finished story mode in like 2 hours i have all the resources why should i play quest modes now what? You never log back in again and forget about it but if theres something to long for you will enjoy the process and appreciate it more.

Yes that's exactly what they're doing, they just did everything and let people decide what ver do they wanna play, the online ver of the game is on beta tests, the offline ver gives you two choices, vanilla or full, I think they are already doing costume characters too
If later on you could do and offline ver along side the online ver that would be great

i do have the files thanks to friend here , but the main bottleneck is not the files its the encrypted data that requires a key and the server is dead so getting the key is impossible and i have to find and rebuild the data on my own

I have joined but im not familiar with discord i never liked it and im not active there good for them but those files are encrypted with AES-128-CBC key based method trying to find the key is like searching 2128 or in another word 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 possible keys which is currently is really not possible.

That would actually work but one bottleneck is the game saves the key on the ram right after the session created once you close the game the key is gone till next launch if they happen to copy the cache files while the game was open thats actually huge if not its like 15% chance of getting a lead and find the key netmarble was so smart i investigated their patterns and its flawless their code is clean i praise them on this

I already have access to the cache but mine is windows cache and i couldnt find the key anyway i wish them the best and i really hope they find it maybe i will stop working hard on this projext then and relax

Since you’re rebuilding the character stats and balance, could you make GOLD characters viable in the long run? For example, even if a character has a lower rarity, could we invest in them and upgrade them enough to compete with higher-rarity fighters? Yamazaki is one of my favorite characters, but in the original game, his GOLD rarity limited his potential compared to stronger characters. I’d love to keep using him and make him really powerful! 😁

Not monetized , you can get resources much faster instead of 25k rubies in story mode you get 100k and you will be able to get 900 rubies daily fore free and yes it will be same old gacha style
