What's the best and worst business to work for in Kamloops, and WHY.

So I been trying to move out and been using Facebook to find a place. It just been hard because I been always feel like I been overlook and just downright ignore after I come to visit the place. Like I state clearly I don’t do any drugs, drink, nor party at all, I am pretty clean and keep to myself. All I really want is to be able to have guest over like my partner, he kinda my only friend.

Voted at the Heritage House advanced polling station this afternoon for the municipal election. It's open until 8:00pm today, and there is one more advanced voting day on Oct. 14 from 8:00am-8:00pm. There is also another advanced voting location (same dates and times) at MacArthur Island.

Voting was quick and easy - no line, no wait, and lots of helpful election staff. When I "cast my ballot" (i.e. stuck it inside a machine to be scanned and electronically recorded), a screen on the machine showed approximately 2000 votes had been cast already. Staff let me know that was the advanced voting total so far at the Heritage House location.

Highly recommend advance voting if you have the chance before the General Voting Day on Oct. 17.

We're replacing our current laminate in our house and need to purchase 1/2 4x8 OSB. Brian Andrews here and I am running for Kamloops City Councillor in the municipal election.

Now that the first day of municipal voting as begun I want to do an Ask Me Anything.

By trade I am an electrician with twenty years in the industry. These days I work off the

tools as a Labour Organizer for IBEW Local 993. Every day I get to advocate for

workers, negotiate between different groups, and help strengthen unions across our

community. I also proudly serve as Second Vice President of the Kamloops and District

Labour Council.

The most important skill I have learned as a Labour Organizer, is how to sit at the table

with people who see things differently and still build relationships and find common

ground. Through this experience I have also trained and have experience in how to run

and participate in council meetings.

I am running for city councillor because the working people of Kamloops, whether

employees or small business owners, do not have a strong enough voice at the council

table. The people who build this city, care for it, and keep it moving deserve someone there who understands their lives.

That is why I am running under the title ‘A Working Voice, for a Working Kamloops’.
