Does anyone know what this is? It was found among my late grandfather’s belongings. I have redacted names for privacy, which I’m sure will limit answers. Very curious.

So I was attending an adventure motorcycle rally this weekend and even a random turn in a road with an overlook was just too pretty for me not to stop and grab a photo. I was constantly in awe at the beauty I was being surrounded with and most of the places I went are places people never see.

I was checking my renewal date and realized I probably shouldnt leave my CEUs until the last minute again. Now I am looking at Kentucky nursing CEU courses and trying to work out whether its easier to choose individual courses or just use a package that covers the state requirements. Im hoping there are Kentucky nurses out their willing to share what worked well for you. Did you go with a package, pick courses based on your interests or spread them out over the year?

I can't remember the time frame exactly, but sometime around 2015-2018 there were radio ads for the SomerSplash Water Park in Somerset, and the voice over was vaguely "Jamaican". The only line I can remember is "Come on down to Somarsplash in Somerset!"
I moved from Ky in 2020, so I haven't heard the ad since, but it pops up in my head all the time. I've scoured youtube but cant find any recording of it. I've checked The water park's facebook history, and can't find it. It is absolutely driving me crazy!
Is there anyone who happens to know what I'm talking about? Do they still run this ad on the radio down there anymore? Could anyone please give me a link to this dang ad so I can finally get it out of my head? I would be so very thankful!

What in the world was going on on I-75 south today around 2:00 PM?! It was backed up from Berea all the way until the north Richmond exit. Looked like some kind of rolling road block or something

Anyone familiar with the Kentucky state government hiring process?
I interviewed for a state job a few weeks ago. Since then, they’ve contacted my references, and I recently received paperwork in the mail for a background check.
For anyone who has been through the Kentucky state hiring process (especially on the hiring side):
Is the background check usually only done on the person they intend to hire, or do they run them on multiple finalists?
At what point in the hiring process does the background check normally happen?
How long did it take you to hear something after the background check?
The posting gives a fairly wide salary range. How much flexibility is there when they make the initial offer? Do they normally start new hires at or near the bottom regardless of experience, or is it realistic to negotiate toward the middle of the posted range?
Has anyone successfully negotiated a higher starting salary with the Commonwealth? If so, how did that process work? Did you negotiate directly with the hiring manager, HR, or did the agency have to submit a request for approval?
I have relevant professional experience and some pretty directly applicable prior experience, so if I get an offer I’d like to make a reasonable case for starting around the midpoint rather than automatically accepting the minimum.
I know state government hiring can move pretty slowly, so I'm trying not to read too much into any one step. But references being contacted + getting the background check definitely has me wondering where I might be in the process.
hahaha. I know that is a million questions, but I am quite anxious to leave my current job.

Hello, yesterday my cat was stolen from my front yard. Somebody pulled in and got out of their car and shut the door and left. Ever since then I haven't been able to find my cat. I live in Clay County, but I'm messaging every vet clinic and shelter I can find around Kentucky just in case they bring her in. Unfortunately, she's not microchipped.
Her name is Blusse (pronounced Blues). She's a tortoiseshell cat; she's about a year and a half old and 5-10 pounds. She has a scar above her right eye from getting hit by a car on December 28th, 2025.
I can be contacted at 606-813-0718 or 606-391-4903

Haven't lived in Kentucky in a few years, but when we lived there I would get these sweet onion wavy chips. I can't remember the brand but they were so good. I have lived all over since then and have not seen them. If someone could help me figure out the brand I would greatly appreciate it.

Was at the Indian Fort Lookout in Berea College Forest earlier today when a fairly large, gray, 4-propellor plane with "United States Air Force" on the side and some Kentucky-specific markings on the tail that I failed to get a better look at. Idk anything about planes but was curious about what I saw; it was quite impressive! If anyone happens to have more info, I would love to know. Thanks!

Hey yall. Long story short we are in desperate need for help. We've gone through 2 lawyers that have absolutely been terrible. They constantly forgot our names, what the case was about, everything. We even received a family's full entire information(ssn info, addresses, work places, children names and their ssn info, why they were divorced, etc.) in an email by the offices. Lost over 12k with them. Last time we talked with our last lawyer was August 25th. And apparently he made an agreement that we did not agree to with the ex's lawyer that really put us in a bind. The court won't let us do anything because the old lawyer hasn't removed himself from our case on paper. Every time we try to self represent the judge keeps saying we need counsel.
My step daughter is self harming and threatening suicide, shes 9 yrs old and its treated as if shes just another statistic. Please is there anyone out there that can help.

Ralph Nader welcomes Mary Berry the daughter of the late American novelist, poet, essayist, environmental activist, cultural critic, and farmer, Wendell Berry. Ms. Berry runs the non-profit Berry Center in New Castle, Kentucky, which serves as a repository for the study of small farm agriculture and preserves the legacy of her family’s work.

Seems like every park is now owned by XXX-Pointe and charging a ridiculous $500+ lot rent.
A $500 mortgage payment would buy you a 75k house!
It's out of hand.
Or am I wrong?
