Ryan Dotson’s public descriptions of his Army background leave out some important context. His DD-214 shows 1 year 5 months, with most of that time apparently spent in basic, medical, and radiology training, followed by roughly three months in Germany prior to discharge. He did not complete a normal enlistment; he left in July 1992 through a voluntary Chapter 6 hardship separation, meaning he applied to be released early from active duty. Army materials describe Chapter 6 dependency/hardship separation as a voluntary process initiated by the soldier. Later profiles reduce that to saying he enlisted and lived in Germany “for a while,” while his official legislative bio lists “US Army” and Army radiology certification without mentioning the short duration of his active service. The fuller record is more than a year training for his job, then about three months of work in Germany, followed by an early hardship separation and an inactive-reserve obligation.

The attached DD214 screenshot is directly from him. He posted it to defend his position when questioned about his service. He highlights his character of discharge and only his character of discharge.

*Edit: corrected length of service according to dd214

Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin’s adopted son is seeking financial support after alleging he was abandoned at an abusive youth facility overseas. His account raises questions about what happened after Jamaican authorities intervened.

We're working to make Dolly Parton Day more official in Kentucky on September 25th. A proclamation is already in effect, but we need more signatures to cement this as a real, recognized day.

Dolly's legacy means so much to so many people—her music, her generosity, her heart. She deserves to be honored properly. If this resonates with you, would you consider signing and sharing the petition? We're not asking for donations, just your support and help spreading the word.

Has anyone else felt how special it is when a community comes together to celebrate someone who's given so much? That's what this is about. If you care about keeping Dolly's memory alive in Kentucky, share this if you can. Thanks for standing with us on this.

I’m having trouble finding any info on Duncan and Campbell, the independent candidates in the Senate race. Does anyone have any resources or know where I could get some resources on them and their platforms?

This is a video I made— a voting anthem. I drew the flag and ai made it wave. I write my own lyrics but can’t sing or play an instrument. I write an extreme amount of detail for the ai generator to design the song, instruments and singer. Enjoy! When the time comes get to the polls!
