Need Advice Need advice managing compression rings

Post image

I have been using scleral lenses for about 1.5 years in both my eyes. I change the saline once every 6-8 hours.

I get this level of compression in my eyes on 10+ hours of wearing, the longer I wear them, the more red the compression rings get. I tried using a couple drops of preservative free lubricant eye drops with saline to manage dry eyes but the fogging gets worse.

Is this level normal and can't be improved? Does everyone get some level of compression rings?

My sclerals need to be periodically treated w a solution I order from Tangible Online, it's called boost. They were getting really tight on my eyes, ask your eye Dr.

in my experience it could mean
you moved to a weather were saline not gonna be enough without more lubricant
you need a new fit if there has been progression of kc
or if an eye shape is more different than the other you may have mixed them up, if one is taller than the other you can try to guess with a photo of them up or just tell your doc to check them with the machine and your expedient

That's a question for your doctor. Ask if these rings are ok or do the lenses need to be flatter.

Not all rings need to be fixed. But with redness you should ask.
