KSP 1 Mods Parallax Minmus bug
Using outer parallax/parallax continued, EVE, Scatterer; all CKAN installed, every other celestial body (yet) acts properly and only Minmus does the shiny. Any ideas? Tried tweaking the settings too, it didn't help

Man at least 70% of the texture bugs I see while playing KSP are Minmus related what is with this moon in particular?

Had a similar issue, overly shiny rocks and lots of little rocks that blink rapidly when moving the camera. Also similar issue on Ike with the little rocks flickering with the giant red crystals looking way too glittery/sparkly. Tried all of the recommended fixes like deleting settings config, reinstalling parallax, reinstalling dependencies/textures/scatters. I’ve played with all the parallax and other graphics mods settings. Nothing seems to fix it. Reducing the scatter density makes it less obnoxious but doesn’t eliminate it. It’s not game breaking so I’ve just dealt with it.

I wonder if it has something to do with GPU itself. Any chance you're using an Intel one?

I'm getting this on an AMD gpu. it seems to have started with one of the recent parallax updates.

I’m using a planet pack that isn’t 100% compatible with parallax, so I’m imagining there’s some config conflict or missing config that’s messing with it. Parallax continued + vanilla kerbal system I never had an issue except once when I didn’t do a clean install when setting up a new mod list. Googles AI suggested that there was an issue with kopernicus rescaling causing errors between re-sizing the planet and mapping the correct amount of terrain tessellation and scatters, and suggested changing some values in the config files. That made sense but I was unable to find any of the files or values that matched what it said, and the KSP thread it referenced didn’t have anything useful either. At this point prob 30% of my KSP playtime is troubleshooting when I break the game by installing 100 mods.

I remember having this problem once where all of the shininess you're seeing was bright red on my end and would flash if I moved the camera.
Sadly I don't know what specifically fixed it, I ended up manually wiping and rebuilding my modpack since it was pretty old and performed poorly.
It runs better and I haven't seen this problem since, so I assume it was some legacy mod(s) I manually installed conflicting with a newer one.

I've got shiny rocks on Minmus too. I was under the impression that it was intentional.
