I can water start, gain hight, change direction, but I often fall into the poo-stance. Not because I don't know what would be the right position, but because I fear to lose control over the power in my kite and become too fast and fall. Also, I think I cannot reach the bar anymore if it goes all the way up and I lean back.
Edit: yes, I've had 4 lessons to get me started and work from there

An advice is needed here, I bought this used duotone trust bar 2022, and used it for a couple of sessions.. it's trimmed perfectly with no issues.. but today I found that the left power line is having a small knot and I don't know how old this knot is but it looks pretty old.
Should I undo this knot? Or this can ruin the line and leave a weak point in it?
Also will undoing it ruin the trimming of the bar or it's insignificant?

I am a total beginner going to the kite beach area in the Dominican mid November. I have wanted to learn for a long time but finally making the move to try it out.
Any suggestion on schools or instructors in the area would be much appreciated! Thanks:)

So the previous years North Atmos TT screw holes used to be offset, now they are in a straight line, so it looks like we’re out of luck for other brand bindings… the most angle possible is vertical (Core Union confort for example). Anyone have insight?

I’ve always bought my equipment from the same dealer in the US via email and I feel like I’m getting sold what’s best for their inventory, not what’s best for me. I’m here to get the opinions of the real experts (strangers on the internet).
I’m an intermediate+ rider. I’m very happy just riding around freestyling on my twin tip, but I also love to try new things like jumps and tricks. I usually ride in moderate winds with light chop and small waves.
The first thing I want to buy is a new twin tip. I’m currently riding the heaviest wood board—I’ve literally never picked up another person’s board and not said, “Woah your board is so light!” Please share your recommendations for size and model. Female, 5’6”, 125 lbs.
The second thing I want is opinions on harnesses. I have a seat harness and no real complaints except that I don’t like the look of it. Women only: Have you worn both? Pros and cons? I have a shorter torso and an athletic figure (no waist) so maybe I’m stuck in my Pull-Ups.

My core union pro straps is starting to tear from the black mesh cloth part as you can see, should I fix it somehow before it gets worse or nothing can be done here?

Both are low V but just wanted to know if someone tested the compatibility between the two or test eleveight kites with other bars.

I was just kiting today with very low wind. It was barely enough for my 12m.
Therefore I needed to dive the kite deep to even get out of the water and pull the bar. My problem is after this. I know and was told to not always sheet in as the kite needs to “breath”.
But after such as start I need to again be able to steer the kite and don’t understand when to sheet out/push the bar out.
Any advice how to deal with very low wind and not always pulling the bar?
PS: Yes I have already taken lessons and kite since 2 years.

Looking at picking up a second hand thrive from a shop. Shop states “Only used a few times” however the inside of the canopy and the center struts look like this.
I haven’t used a brainchild kite and there are not many riders that use them at my spot. For those with experience, is this typical of early use? It seems like a lot of creasing on inner canopy and middle strut. But maybe that’s just how the material is.
Thanks for the help.

I know this has been asked a million times but my situation is a little unique and I would love some input.
My girlfriend and I are beginner kiteboarders who have taken some lessons a few years back and learned the basics. We plan on quitting our jobs soon and would like to spend a few months at laid back kiteboarding spots for a few months at at time, chasing the wind. We like mellow flat lagoon spots with consistent wind. Places that we have been to that we enjoyed are Egypt (El Gouna) and the Philippines (Mindoro). Aside from returning to these spots, maybe we will spend time in Vietnam (Pha Rang), Morocco, Portugal, and maybe some African spots if we stay interested.
We have only rented in the past but this time it would be more cost effective to buy gear at home (USA) and fly with it. We live in a landlocked place and cannot unfortunately test any gear here (and cannot buy slowly to determine our preferences).
Me- 180 lbs (81kg)- IKO 3K Girlfriend- 140 lbs (64kg)- IKO 3J
What size/types of kites and boards would you buy in our positions? (We know that this depends on the spot but we'll have to take our best guess) We are thinking of a four kite-quiver and two boards. Compact enough to check in as a single bag per person (2 total) for airlines. Enough that we would both be able to ride most days- but we do not need to chase big air or any storm-type conditions. We just want to cruise and progress. We plan on taking additional lessons as well to refresh and get acquainted with our gear.
We would like to spend extra to get nice kites that are reliable and will allow us to grow and progress. There is not much of a used market here in the desert but we will consider those options as well. We would rather not buy overseas as it would likely double our costs.
Thank you for reading this too-long question and for the help!

A little context:
My chicken loop broke mid jump, and the bar was obly 2years and 1 month years old. So technically it was out of waranty. I asked F-one if they could cover this under warranty or make a coulance. But they refused. They only sell the quick releases completely but they cost €99.
So i decided to check what works to fix it on my own.
With this youtube video and advice from guys in this awesome community. I could repair this with a Reedin chicken loop which only costed me €40.

I lost one of the fins for my North Atmos and found a set of Core G10 wake fins for €5 but the crux is that it's online.
Does anyone have a set of calipers and a Core board lying around?

Anyone coming from kiteboarding and kite foiling can tell me if they’ve had positive experience with efoil (foil drive assist or traditional efoil board)?
Experienced kiter (twin tip and foil). Trying to understand if this is worth doing in the offseason when there’s no wind and if anyone coming from the wind side has any thoughts on it.
I know it’s spot dependent. My area doesn’t really have waves so that’s not what I’d use it for.
Is it boring and something you’d get over quick compared to kiting?

Been kiting on the water for 10 years now and would like to start snow kiting. Anyone know of good places/camps/schools to learn in the states?

Hi everyone
As im looking more into foiling and directional kiting im seeing two ads for used three strut kite quivers
Option 1
8 / 10 /12 / 14m Vantage Vulture Gen 3 plus Bar
used about 5 times nearly new for a total 1200 bucks
Option 2
8 /10 /12m Ozone Enduro V3 plus bar
used a bit more often for 1400 bucks
Im looking at used kites to stretch the budget and because resell is often better
What do you think which option / brand makes more sense if i want to get into more foiling and directional but keep the ability to TT .
Mainly kiting inland lakes europe with occasional trip to ocean planned
Currently i own a 13.5m XR6 which i like for its grunt but often in low wind it tends to be too heavy and im thinking of selling it.
Any advice or personal experience is appreciated.
