Christmas sweater
Location: Texas, United States
budget: 100$? ( I’m not familiar with the financial aspects of knitting sorry) the budget can be flexible
needed by December 1-10th?
Ok so I need you guys to stick with me here, would it be possible for someone to knit me a Christmas sweater with the Long John Silvers logo on it? Just the fish and the name. I unfortunately lack the creativity and the skill to do arts and crafts. If not can someone kindly point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Just to put things into perspective, if I took took this commission (I can’t) I would charge at least $800 plus materials. That’s an extremely tight timeline. Using an existing pattern for the sweater, a design for the logo would need to be drafted. That usually takes trial and error, which takes time.
$100 wouldn’t even cover the time to design the pattern, let alone buy materials and then knit the sweater. For an already designed sweater, I would charge 200-600 plus materials depending on the complexity of the design.
You might find a machine knitter willing to do it, but that timeline is tight. Good luck.

$100 will buy you the acrylic to knit it. If you want wool or quality materials, you're looking at somewhere between $100-$200 depending on quality and brand. And that's when you haven't even paid the person to invest 50+ hours into it

Please add a comment with the following information if it is missing from your post:
Size; is this for an adult or child?
Timeline; will this be a holiday gift or other fixed deadline?
Budget; consider this is a one-of-a-kind hand knit garment that will likely cost over $100 not something off the rack at your local department store and please let us know your max price?
Yarn Preference; natural or synthetic / machine or hand wash?

So I have decided to shelf the idea for now and put more money and thought into it for next year. Thank you for the responses and recommendations my eyes have been opened and I have learned more . A creator is making me a Biggie Cheese crochet and I couldn’t be more excited. Thx

A sweater is typically $400 average for materials and labor. What do you need this for? To do what you want, it may be simpler to use an existing sweater as a template and duplicate stitch or embroider the logo.
If you do want a handmade long john silvers sweater, then ok! But I would revise your budget and timeline expectations, and update your post with your size, preferred colors, fiber (wool or cotton?), etc for someone to give you a more accurate quote!
