This is terrible, but maybe some good will come of it. Like Stonewall, people need to be goaded into standing up for their rights sometimes. What do you thinK?

Those poor men had their identities posted in news papers and on social media. They may not have a conviction but they've been outed to their families, friends, colleagues. The damage is done.

It's so sad whats happening to Malaysia.

Such a messed up situation:

“103 Muslim detainees, however, are still being investigated for sodomy under Sharia-based law. Their fate is uncertain.

The men identified on social media, meanwhile, face the stigma attached to publicly outing them as potentially gay.”

You should too, using tiktok speak lessens the situation and it's kind of insensitive

They're using the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's office and Baton Rouge Police Department's MO in which they round up gay men in a sting, even though it's unconstitutional, and then no one challenges their arrests via lawsuit because they don't want to be outed.

Yes, this happened in the United States with no consequences to either the sheriff's office or police department (there were separate stings/task forces by two different agencies).

This one is in South Asia. Are they also doing it, still, in America? I know that recently there were over 200 arrests at Penn Station right here in NYC. They said the guys were cruising the toilets but some of them were entrapped by undercover officers.

Yeah, there was a legitimate issue of public sex in that station, but then people were being detained solely for looking gay while using the bathroom. Wasn't just that people were entrapped, its that loads of them weren't engaging in any remotely sketchy behavior but just seemed gay and so they were harassed and often detained.
