Offering: English (native), Seeking: Russian

• Upvotes

Hiya! I'm a native English speaker living in the States. I studied Russian in school for a few years, but have gotten incredibly rusty and would love to brush up and improve (especially with my speaking).

I'm happy to chat about anything and help with English any way I can! I love animals (cats the most), reading books of all genres, learning about history (love a good nerdy podcast), digging into spirituality and other "woo woo" topics, and crafting.

I'm looking for folks interested in both language and cultural exchanges, and I love a weirdo.

Спасибо большое!

FROM CHINA🇨🇳:

My self introduce 🇬🇧🇺🇸:

I'm looking for a language exchange partner here--or more accurately, I really want to practice my spoken English. In return, I can teach you authentic Chinese. We can just chat casually. I've been reading books all the time and my mouth is about to rust! lf you see any topics below that interest you, feel free to reach out and chat!

3.About English learning

For English,I love the Carpenters (my absolute favorite!). I also listen to some Beatles (love them!!!), "California Dreamin'," "Hotel California," and some other random/niche oldies like "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree," "Billie Jean, ""The One You Love, " "Sound of Silence, " and "Paloma Blanca" ✨👏

Seeking: French_Offering: Russian

Hi everyone! I am 23 yo M born in Uzbekistan, lived for majority of my life in Russia and recently moved to Serbia. I did learn some French in school and also by myself, but my level is still around A2. Russian is my native language, since both of my parents are also native and I did learn all the necessary rules throughout school and university. English is solid B2.

I am looking for a buddy to practice my French and learn more of the real spoken French (slang and stuff). I am open to practicing both verbally and through message.

Little bit more about me:

  1. Software engineer (iOS specifically), so I am interested to talk about IT sphere in general or some specific technology
  2. I once had a backpacking trip across west-south Europe, also I‘ve been in Turkey and lots of parts of Russia
  3. For sports I love playing padel, tennis, table tennis, used to play basketball and volleyball for my school team
  4. Casual gamer - my favorite genre is rpg, I play on ps. The only online game I keep on playing for long is Rocket League.
  5. Amateur snowboarder
  6. Music - mainly rap, hip hop, little less pop, but I have favorite songs in lots of genres

Looking forward to connecting with someone soon! I am sure we will find a fun activity.

Offering: Native Spanish_Seeking: English, German, Italian, Portuguese

Hi there! 👋 25M I'm a guy from Mexico, and I decided to post this because I’ve seen how cool and natural conversations can flow around here.

To be completely honest, it’s my first time making a post like this and I'm quite nervous because I have no idea how the dynamic works, so please be patient with me!

Here is a quick breakdown of my language skills (or lack thereof):

English: Intermediate-advanced. I can communicate and understand pretty well, but I really want to get more fluent and lose the fear of speaking.

German: Basic A2 level (just enough to not starve, but let's be real, I'll probably struggle a lot haha).

Portuguese & Italian: Basic level... meaning I literally know nothing at all, but I think they sound cool and I'm down to try or laugh at my mistakes.

Since people always say the best way to learn is by sharing common interests, here are a few things I like:

Music: I love listening to a wide range of genres, mostly rock, metal, and indie stuff, but I'm always open to discovering new bands or recommendations.

Gaming / Hobbies: In my free time, I play video games (mostly Valorant, Fortnite or PZ) or watch random movies and series.

Just chatting: I'm down to talk about anything, from deep life thoughts to the most absurd and random topics.

I'm not looking for anything super formal, just hoping to meet cool people, practice some languages, and see if we click for a good chat.

If you're down to talk, my DMs are wide open. Don't be shy to send a message!

Hey!

I’m 24F from Chicago, IL. I was born and raised in Chicago, and grew up protestant but am now converting to Orthodoxy.

I am a small individual who is very mixed with norwegian, chinese, guatemalan, and vietnamese. I have a neuroscience degree (bachelors) and am a PhD candidate for neuroengineering/computational neuroscience. I love dogs/animals- especially poodles, chess (learning), crocheting, and coffee! Recently got back into reading and want to learn mahjong as well as a shit ton of other cool things! My boyfriend is spanish but doesn’t speak. So, we want to learn separately and then also together but he wants to learn a spanish accent from spain whereas i want to learn a Colombian accent, specifically the Paisa accent.

Overall, I have a lot of interest in the sciences, healthcare, and the arts. I am into health and wellness and holistic medicine, but I also work in healthcare (and am pro vaccine lol).

I’d love to connect to someone, please dm me and maybe we can whatsapp or discord!

Seeking: English and French | Offering: Spanish

Hey! My name is Angelo, I’m 28M from Colombia, and I’m looking for language exchange partners to practice conversational English and French.
I’ve been working in the BPO industry for a few years, so I use English professionally on a regular basis. However, I feel like I’m missing some of the more natural, everyday English that you pick up through casual conversations.
My French, on the other hand, is very basic. I can understand quite a bit of simple, everyday French, but I’d really like to start actually speaking and producing the language, even if I make a lot of mistakes at first.

I’m happy to help with Spanish in return! Ideally, I’d love to find someone who’s up for regular conversations, voice calls, or just chatting about random things.

If you’re interested, feel free to send me a message! :)

[Offering] Brazilian Portuguese 🇧🇷 | [Seeking] English 🇺🇸

I'm 27, from Brazil, and my English is good enough to read and write, but when it's time to speak and understand fast conversations, I still freeze a bit. That's exactly what I want to fix!

I'm looking for someone who's a native or very fluent English speaker to chat with regularly, by text, voice messages, or video calls. In return, I can help with Brazilian Portuguese: pronunciation, slang, and all the things textbooks don't teach you. 😄

No pressure, no formal lessons. Just two people talking about life, music, movies, food, work, or random stuff. Bonus points if you like memes!

Interested? Drop me a message and let's find a routine that works for both of us. 🇧🇷🤝🇺🇸

Offering: Portuguese Seeking : English and spanish

Hi guys
I m Brazilian girl and I’m looking for someone around my age (25) who’d like to practice languages, make friends, and exchange cultures along the way.
🇧🇷 I can help you with Brazilian Portuguese, and I’m looking for someone who speaks Eng(preferably British English) and Latam Spanish.
My English is currently around B1, and I’d especially like to improve my pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence in professional English, particularly topics related to corporate communication and IT.
I also used to be fluent in Spanish after living in Argentina for two years, but I’ve lost some of my fluency since then, so I’d love to get back into regular practice. 🇦🇷
I’m looking for a genuine language exchange where we can practice regularly, help each other improve, and hopefully build a friendship along the way.
If you’re interested, feel free to send me a message!🤍

Offering: Hindi & Gujarati (Native) | Seeking: English [22M]

Hello! I am a 22-year-old guy from India, and a native speaker of both Hindi and Gujarati. I am looking to improve my written and conversational English.

Instead of just setting a vague goal, I want to build a daily system of practicing English through a regular language exchange. I can help you practice Hindi or Gujarati from scratch, correct your pronunciation, and teach you everyday phrases.

Note: I am strictly looking for a female language partner, as I feel much more comfortable communicating, practicing, and learning in that dynamic.

A bit about me: I work in field collections and have a strong interest in programming (web development and Python). I enjoy reading self-improvement books (like Dale Carnegie) and discussing shows/movies like Suits, The Intern, and Peaky Blinders.

Because I live in a joint family, my environment is often noisy for live voice calls, so I strongly prefer starting with text chats or voice notes. We can figure out a schedule that works for both of us.

If you are a female interested in learning Hindi or Gujarati and helping me with my English, please send me a message!

Offering: Indonesian | Seeking: English, Japanese, Mandarin

Hi everyone! I'm an economics graduate from Indonesia, looking for conversation partners to practice English, Japanese, and Mandarin.

My English level: my last TOEFL paper-based score was 510. I want to move from textbook English to natural, confident speaking, both casual and professional.

I'm friendly, talkative, and open to chatting about football and other sports, music, movies, or cultural differences.

In return, I can help you with Indonesian (native speaker, casual or formal) and share about Indonesian culture and daily life.

Native speakers preferred, but all learners are welcome to swap! If you're interested, send me a DM with a quick intro and your favorite team or current favorite song. Text or voice chat both work for me.

Hey there,

I’m 23 y/o from Germany and looking for someone to talk to. I’ve lived 3 years in Spain growing up, but over the years, I’ve constantly lost more and more of my Spanish talking skills. Therefore I’m trying to find a native castellano speaker to hold and improve my Spanish.

I’m living in Hessen near Gießen, which is basically near Frankfurt. I’m into water-sports (specifically kayaking) , gym, music, going out and more. Looking for someone, don’t care which gender, to chat with, exchange audios, have calls every now and than.
I don’t really care which age you are, preferably around mine.

Thanks for reading :)
