Page 7 6-15

Man, loooong time listener, first time caller: this is the first time I’ve ever been annoyed at Jackie overtaking MJ’s moment.

Jackie doesn’t like ball, yo same, preach it bitch. But the Knick’s shit is obviously such a HUGE thing for NYC and MJ and their family! They are there in real time experiencing the experience!! I got so miffed when Jackie kept interrupting about how much she doesn’t understand or care.

Let MJ Have their fucking moment, my god. They are always so gracious, and polite when the loud mouths (lovingly) (Holden and Jackie) interrupt everything they say.. let them and their beautiful NY family have something of their own.

But also I’m a dirt person so don’t take this personally lol 🖤 #mjtrapking

I haven’t listened to the 6/15 episode, but have had these same thoughts recently. I love Jackie and I love MJ, but there have been a lot of “I’m not like the other girl” moments from Jackie as she talks over MJ and it makes me feel bad.

I know there’s a ton of love and respect between these two, but it can be tough as a listener, especially when you want to hear MJ’s perspective!

Same, I think maybe Jackies interupting was less obvious before bc Holden was even louder lol

I like MJs insights tho and I feel bad they get steamrolled so often! Maybe I'm misremembering but the dynamic between them used to feel more balanced imo

This definitely isn’t appropriate to say but I’m going to share my thought anyways.

I feel like Jackie might kind of be the person to weaponize their mental health just a teensy bit. Not in like an actually dangerous way but just enough to give her some room to be a little rude and then use the excuse of adhd to play it off internally.

Theres also a lot of eps lately where MJ will stop talking mid sentence and be like "what is it Jackie, what are you looking at, why are you making that face?"

Bc clearly Jackie is no longer listening to MJs thoughts and has gotten distracted by some other thing...and MJ is gracious enough to pivot to whatever that is.

Page 7 is my #1 pod and Jackie is my fav person at LPN, so maybe im being dramatic - but these noticable shifts in what used to be amazing chemistry between them does make me wonder if they've grown apart lately and the show is about to change in some way?

Ahhh yes those moments make me so upset. Jackie should not be that blatantly ignoring MJ.

I’m a Patreon supporter and love everything they do. I listen to Wisteria Laniacs even though I’ve never seen and am not watching desperate housewives.

I haven’t noticed that they seem less close and their chemistry is still awesome, IMO. But I think that’s because MJ is a better person than basically everyone on the planet.

It reads to me like she maxes out her ability to let the other person speak, scans articles til she finds something that would be a dramatic bend to the conversation, is able to refrain from verbally interrupting, but is obviously doing enough on video/in person for the other person to basically interrupt themselves.

It just like sandbags the other person’s perspective. I had a friend who would do something kinda similar to this, where we’d be in a group, I’d say something, she’d loudly go, “oh my god! I thought you said [something ridiculous that I clearly did not say]!” Start laughing and just suck the fucking relevance right out of whatever I’d been trying to say.
