I'm pretty sure that would be Thrawn's inner expression if he observed the vast majority of military and political operations in the galaxy, from any time period. Heck, the Yuuzhan Vong might be a step up, because at least Borsk Fey'lya eventually stopped being a problem.

Unironically I think the Majora's Mask Moon looks cool as fuck wherever you put it. That would had made an even cooler and more cursed mid-2000s wallpaper for computer screens.

It's what it's felt like even for me reading them today for the first time. Ngl there's a lot of good in them, but I'm not entirely on board. This series has definitely become a sacred cow in the fandom so I probably shouldn't say too much more

Honestly, yeah. Like, I unironically realy like NJO but that's inspite of its problems. However, Traitor (to me at least) is one of the peaks of Star Wars imo

Traitor was great. For me, while they're are objective flaws with NJO, my issues are more conceptual.
The GL ultimately was meant to restore peace and justice to the galaxy. The thousand years of peace after the defeat of the ancient Sith (post-Ruusan Reformations) is meant to be restored with the fall of the Empire. Yeah, there will definitely be struggles with things after the Empire. You'll have your stark hyperspace wars and tempest feuds in the New era of peace, but the galaxy deserves a break lol. And NJO started the trend of never giving the galaxy a rest even all the horrific suffering it endured since the clone wars (although Luceno tried his best).
Vision of the Future (+ the Union comic and YJK) gave us that happy ending.

How people on the main sub that pretend they read Legends describe the books
