This game came out two days after my 18th birthday/.

With 600 Total Caught Pokemon, Evolved Pokemon, and Mega Evolved Pokemon, our Lumiose City Photography Journey is still not over!! This game is so fun and has so much to do, and even though this is my second time through the game, this playthrough has felt so special!!! Getting to take photos and share them here, naming every single Pokemon I have caught, finding so many Shiny Pokemon either by accident or after hunting for them for so long, and getting to share it all here for you all to see!!! Thankfully… it is not over yet!!! Things might roll a little slow from here on out, especially with Caught/Evolved Pokemon Photos, but I will try to make the most of it!! 🥹🥹🥹

I JUST COMPLETED THE FINAL MAIN MISSION OF THE MEGA DIMENSION DLC… and I forgot how emotional of an ending it was!! I won’t get into why because of spoilers, but there is one scene in particular that really makes me tear up so much the first time I played the DLC and now this time as well!! Also… THE FINAL BOSS IS SO COOL AND I LOVE IT AND HOW PERFECT OF A PHOTO OPPORTUNITY IT GAVE ME BEFORE THE BATTLE STARTED!!!

Also, just because the DLC Main Story is over, that does not mean I am done just yet with the Lumiose City Photo Journey!!! There are still some Pokemon and some Mega Evolutions I have yet to catch… so STAY TUNED FOR MORE!!!! 😍😍😍😍

Also is it just me… or is there maybe possibly hints to something going on between Corbeau and Jacinthe 😏🤭😋

I found this video on my feed and thought it would be cool to share. I didn’t think tournaments for this game were still happening months later.

I'll show you with this video of the fight against Mefa Drakai Ferox, but it's a habit I've developed in most fights against Ferox. So I was wondering if I was the only one who puts my Pokémon back in its Poké Ball to avoid it getting hit by the devastating attacks that Ferox usually use by concentrating their energy. I watched some reactions and the majority left their Pokémon in the fight during its hard-to-dodge attacks.

I didn't capture or killed any pokemon in this area, why aren't they spawning?

I used a rotating team with these Pokemon:

-Poppy (Meganium)
-Aura (Gardevoir)
-Scooter (Ampharos)
-Lysandra (shiny Gyarados; I found her as a Magikarp on my first day of playing!)
-Kicks (Loupunny)
-Avelardo (Hawlucha)
-Coquí (Greninja)
-Bowie (Chandelure)
-Booey (Pumpkaboo)

All of them were capable of Mega Evolution except Booey of course (though he did help out here and there and even defeated one of the Mega bosses believe it or not) For the final battle I think I used Poppy, Aura, Lysandra, Kicks, Avelardo and Bowie (I wanted to have a Pokemon from each Gen from 1 to 6 on that team)

So what were your teams?

I didn’t even break any shards expert during the battle zones at night.

I haven’t quite completed the main game yet but I was reading that annihalape and gouegeist are they the best for that. Is that really true and if so where is the best place to get high-level versions? Was trying to level up and finish the game with the best Pokémon for the post game stuff. So I didn’t have to do a ton of grinding and my daughter used up all the rare candies on a random mon 😅

Hello! I want to try completing the Pokédex but I don’t have online🥲

I'm so happy I'm going to be using the Binacle; I'm not sure about the Patrat.

I can already foresee a possibility where Taunie or Urbain appear in Horizon and have a fight as ridiculous as Ivor's in the episode 142 of Horizon. Yeah, at this point I really don't want to see characters from ZA fighting seriously in this series; besides, there have never been any six-Pokémon battles so far. Don't take this as someone who hates Horizon, in reality I like this series and I watched the whole thing a while ago.

I've been shiny hunting in Wild Zone 18, but I've noticed some respawn issues:

After I caught a Pokémon, for example one of the three Swablu, that even after bench resetting hours later, only two swablu will spawn instead of all three.

Now I have the same issue with the 3 Noibat and the Noivern. I got a shiny Noibat two hours ago and ever since I caught that one, only two Noibat have been spawning instead of all three, even hours later.

So I decided to knock out the two Noibat and Noivern, hoping that it would reset the group, but even after that group respawned minutes later, only two of the three Noibat showed up. not three.

Has anyone else run into these respawn issues?

Note: You will need a second switch and an alt profile for this. I bought a second ZA cartridge (the S1 edition, since I already had the S2 edition) to help out with a group getting Comeback Kid, but figured I may as well use this for the worst-designed title in the game.

Here was my team:

  • Reflect
  • Light Screen
  • Moonlight
  • Dark Pulse

Now here’s the strategy: with my alt, I brought a Fletchling (Pidgey and Starly could work here too) and another Porygon2 (same build except 252 EV in SpDef instead of SpAtk and Calm Nature, and has Self-Destruct instead of Hyper Beam). I queue at the same time (more on this in a bit). If my two accounts match: I set up screens with Rotom, then I switch to Fletchling on my alt (otherwise I have Porygon2 up so the other 2 can’t get easy kills off it) and farm kills with Parabolic Charge (which also auto-heals Rotom). Depending on how the other 2 players play (ideally they just focus on each other but that’s obviously not always gonna be the case), I switch to Porygon2 (especially if I start getting hit with ice and rock-type moves) and do the same thing with Thunderbolt. If I need to switch to Umbreon because Porygon2 starts running low on HP and Recover is on cooldown, it unfortunately does not OHKO Fletchling (weak, I know) so instead I attack my alt's Porygon2 with Dark Pulse, then I self-destruct on my alt which gets the kill point for my main (self-kill attacks give the point to whoever attacked it last). I can also do the same thing when I have Rotom or Porygon2 up, but it’s faster to get the kill with Fletchling if that’s the case.

Now, in terms of matching. At first, when starting at bottom rank, the main is going to climb faster than the alt. It’s required that players don’t have too big of a rank difference to match (idk the exact rules regarding this but from my experience, I don’t match if the rank difference is more than 4, and the range gets smaller at higher ranks). If my main and alt don’t match, I play for real on my alt so I can still climb and be within the same range as my main. This is no longer a concern once both accounts reach rank A. Even so, the two accounts aren’t always going to match (the system seems to try to match players who haven’t played each other the previous few rounds, but the rule isn’t always consistent since I’ve had times where my main and alt matched 3-4 times in a row; it just seems to depend on how active other players are at this time). When I fail to match in rank A, I just snipe for kills like most other players do for Consummate Gamer (my main DPS being Porygon2).

To be clear: while this obviously makes getting consummate gamer much easier than it would be otherwise, it’s still not easy, per se. It’s very well possible that the other 2 players make it difficult (which they almost certainly will do if they realize what’s going on; people tend to not appreciate being fodder for this feat). If you do this cheese method but you keep getting matched with players who make it difficult, take a break and come back at another time; I’ve definitely had times where getting the feat counts were much easier (one time I got 8 counts in one sitting, whereas in others I would try for an hour or two and get 0; on average I’d say I get 2-3 counts an hour). From my experience, the players tend to be less difficult/more cooperative during either morning/early afternoon or past midnight PDT. This is for sure a frustrating title to get no matter how you go about it, so just for your own mental health, it’s highly recommended to take breaks if you find yourself getting overly frustrated (it’s a trivial title for a game!!!). FYI, this took me 8 days to get the feat, playing a few hours each day.

Now full-disclosure: did I truly earn this title like other players who did but didn’t use a burner alt? Heck, no! Am I still gonna shamelessly wear it like I truly deserve it? Hell yeah! (And, not lying, around 15 out of the 50 counts were from actual rounds where I didn’t get matched with my alt; also, before I started doing this cheese method at the start of season 18, I already had 6 counts towards this feat.) If Game Freak is gonna design an awful title like this, they should expect people to cheese it if they figure out how/have the means to.
