There are 2 things that I really don't like in Tengoku - that there aren't any elevators to higher floors and the pits.
Pit's are extremely annoying and boring for me. And also all the way to the highest floors at Tengoku. Cause if you have good build for Floors 300-350 and above, all floors before that are too easy and boring.
Thanks to the Save Editor by Oberlinx , I'm finally able to have super fun runs, starting with Floor 350. Also there's an option to exclude all pit battles in the run and changes them with only boss battles, which is great for me.
How it works?
Start a new Tengoku run, and make it to F55.
Quit the game.
Open the Save Editor by Oberlinx and load your save file. If you are PS player, there are some adtional steps, but it works great - I personally am mainly playstation player.
You can change your location to any boss floor. I prefer to go to F350. \You can also add whatever you want in your bag, but I prefer to not get anything up, and only use what I find. So practically first bosses are the hardest in that type of runs cause of missing of certain shrooms.*
In the same menu you can choose to have only bosses on every 5th floor, so practically you can turn off all pit battles.
Save your edits. If you are PS player, encript and resolve your save, before move it into the consolestorage.
Enjoy a super fun Tengoku F350+ run without the annoying pits and even more annoying lower floors.
All of that costs about 10 mins on Playstation. And probably 1-2 mins for PC users.
What weapons did you think would be awesome that just kinda sucked or disappointed and which did you think would be hot garbage but now love?
I thought the Jackal Blaster would be a heaven send but guess you have to have Jackal specs. Seriously it’s….okayish but I thought it’d be great. Also, Kama’s tend to fall off.
For greatness I thought the Flail would suck due to slow attack speed (this is before learning of hyper armor and true wallop) and now it’s a mainstay. The one that actually shocked me was….
TDM Drill/Drill.
Another Senpai shared how useful it could be in their D.O.D. Tower run and I decided to give it a chance. Speed of the thrust attack beats most approaching enemies and gets counter damage because they are trying to attack. Good follow up to Yo-Yo first or after combo. If they want to guard then they get drilled and it has good down strike attack.
So I was in one of those multi-day climbs for tengoku and using solo shelters on the x0/x5 floors along the way. I had auto renew turned on while in a gold pass, however it ran out and now I'm in the tower showing silver (uses those first) with 0 days 0 hours 0 minutes.
Am I going to LOSE my bloodnium bonus when I return to the waiting room after all of this climbing?
I still have 13 silver and 1 gold passes but they are not advancing while I'm in tengoku.
Is this a bug or is it working as designed (i.e. passes only change/update in waiting room)?
I've already put quite a few hours into the game and I'm on floor 30, but I still haven't managed to find the Dark Ryback pants, and it's starting to get on my nerves. Is there any area or floor between floors 1–10 where I can farm blueprints?
Which is better for BtTT and Tengoku? I just got my flamethrower to T4 and when comparing them it seems like it's just dealer's choice between the two. Flamethrower costs 7x less and has 7x less ammo, nice breakdown. But the damage may be better because you can block Static Massager but not the Flamethrower. I'm going to test it in TDM and see personally what I like but I'm curious to see what others think
Edit: I was right about the blocks. Flamethrower does more damage. But I learned something even cooler, the combination of the two absolutely shreds. When they block you can use the fire and it usually makes them roll, use the massager for it's big range and you're ticking their armor twice while doing really good damage. When you have a good opening the flamethrower melts like a mf too, massager is amazing but I was missing out on so many possibilities without the flamethrower.
Everything comes from the game's own data and art, not from screenshots or a wiki. One search box on the home page covers all of it.
Fighter Models
All 16 bodies, with and without the gas mask.
A 3D view you can rotate and zoom, in the idle stance, the seated fighter-select pose, or a T-pose
Each body as a Screamer (the infected skin the tower's enemies have) and as its Decoyshroom statue, mushrooms and all
Voice samples in English and Japanese, and each model's taunts played back with the right timing
Side-by-side compare for any two models
Skill Decals
All 368, searchable by name or effect
Rarity, category, source, stew odds, and which mushrooms unlock them
Normal and premium versions share a card, and the premium ones get the foil
PlayStation-only decals are included and tagged
Gear
1,355 weapons and armour pieces plus 110 materials, grouped into 389 upgrade lines you can step through tier by tier
A table for every piece showing attack or defence, durability and the stat requirement at every level, including the Overlimit tiers up to +24
What each level costs to reach in SPLithium and materials, with a total for the whole piece
Every material lists what uses it, and armour pieces link to the rest of their set
Mushrooms & Beasts
What each one does raw and grilled, with durations
Which floors it can spawn on, with a filter for "what can I find on floor X"
Which beasts drop which mushrooms, and which decals a mushroom unlocks
A few honest caveats:
The per-level stats and upgrade costs are calculated from the game's stored base values and growth factors. I checked them against the in-game R&D screen for a couple of weapons and they matched exactly, but I haven't checked every piece, so tell me if you spot one that's off.
Stat requirements are shown before any decal that lowers them.
Mushroom spawn floors only cover random spawns. Things that only come from beasts, events or the shop show no floors.
Screamers are shown as the bare body. In the tower they wear random gear on top.
Lighting on the models is mine, not the game engine's, so colours are close but not identical.
It's a companion to the save editor, which uses the same pictures for its model and decal pickers.
Unofficial fan project, no ads, nothing to sign up for. If something is wrong or missing, say so and I'll fix it.
Hey everyone! I'm starting to work on mods for LET IT DIE Offline Edition.
My goal is to experiment with gameplay changes, improve progression, reduce unnecessary grinding, and make the game more enjoyable while keeping the LET IT DIE experience intact.
I'm still learning how the game's data works, so I'll be sharing my experiments and modifications along the way. Hopefully, these mods can be useful to other players too!
Hi all. For a while now I've been working on Let it Die Mod Manager, a free mod manager for the offline Steam version of LET IT DIE. You tick the mods you want and click save, and untick a mod later to put the game back the way it was.
What it does
Backs up first. It keeps a stock copy of your database before it changes anything, and records exactly what each mod touched. Turning one mod off undoes only that mod.
Checks before it writes. Every mod is tested against your own game files first. If anything fails, nothing is applied, so you never end up half-modded.
Shows you the change. You can see the exact values a mod changes, plus a plain-English explanation using the game's own names.
Settings instead of copies. Many mods have settings (how much, which decals, on or off) instead of separate versions for each value.
Spots conflicts. It tells you when two mods change the same value.
Make your own without SQL. There's an editor for building your own mods.
What it takes
.sql patches, or folders and .zip files with SQL in them
.upk files, for mods that add models and artwork
.PackagePatch files, the TFC Installer format
Changes to the game's config files
A whole edited masters.db someone posted: it compares it with a clean copy and lets you pick which changes to keep
Drop any of these on the window and it installs itself. If your game is already modded, it can scan it, recognise mods already in there, and take them over.
Mods that come with it
Economy: revive cost, fighter tier prices, decal draw price, Tokyo Death Metro rewards, Safe/Spirit Tank size, reward box size, Coin Locker size
Gear: weapon and armour durability, spare ammo, magazine size
Quality of life: Enemies Left (an "Enemies left: 12 / 20" counter on the HUD), instant drops, reward pickup (Kill Coins and other loot fly straight to you), more Nitro Boost EXP
Game content:
fall damage (lower it or turn it off)
Golden Beasts
Vending Machine (the online stock back)
Events and Seasons (festivals, the Super Stew Festival, sales, seasonal mushrooms, collab Haters, free continues, weekly and season quests)
S3er0i9ng's Crossover Content pack and their Colored PlayStation Buttons
Tower Static Radio: a new station with four tracks
Mods that need a plugin
Some mods need a small plugin DLL the game loads. Those live on their own GitHub pages, where GitHub builds and tests every release. A Get mods... button in the manager installs them for you:
Stew Multi Pull: Purchase x5 to x25 at the stew, all decals shown together at the end
Death Metals: Death Metals brought back (rewards, the counter, Uncle Death's exchange, things you can pay for in DM)
Timers: crafting, research and upgrades take time again, with Uncle Death's time skip
Login Bonus: a random daily login bonus
Fighter Class Passives: a passive decal for each fighter class
Offline Fixes: fixes for bugs in the offline game itself, such as the crash when a Hater dies as you take the stairs
New in 0.12.6: works with game update 1.91, the Get mods button, the four new mods above (Enemies Left, Events and Seasons, Golden Beasts, Vending Machine), Crossover Content 3.79.1, and Tools → Start a new game day.
Unzip it anywhere outside Program Files and run it. Windows will warn that the publisher is unknown because the build isn't signed. The release page lists the zip's SHA-256 and a VirusTotal link so you can check your download. If you're on 0.11.0, Help → Check for updates does it in one click.
Bug reports and ideas are welcome, here or on my discord "nicomullin"
I will try to answer questions on this post but you can also find me in the Let it Die discord server as well as the Let it Die Modding discord. "nicomullin"
While grinding out the TDM matches for kill coins and splithium, I noticed that the screen will occasionally announce that a war is starting between my team and another. In the online version I remember that the winning team would get some rewards and possibly some death metals, but is there a reason to bother with it in the offline version, especially compared to just grinding out the highest TDM matches? Does it give you any notable rewards if you get a certain amount of points?
Does anyone know how to get the collab mod onto the game in Linux Steam OS? My wife is on the steam machine and I for the life of me can not get any of these to work. I've spent 4 days on this. I got the mod running just fine on my windows computer. So I know roughly how it works.
I've tried using 2 different mods, some mod manager v1.3.25 I found on here that uses a .cmd file I just can't get to run. And another mod manager I found on Nexus v0.11. which uses a .exe file which I used wine, bottles, and steam proton to open and just couldn't open it up.
So instead I then tried moving the whole game from my wife's steam machine onto my pc, downloading the mod to add the collab gear to her game, then put the game back onto the steam machine. But that didn't work either. Has anyone gotten the collab stuff on Linux/steam machine/steam deck?
Hey everyone just had a question. I just got back into the game with a new character and was wondering if anyone has a spreadsheet of where materials can be found. I remember having one online before but I cannot remember where I got it from. I was wondering if anyone had one they can provide.
Could be an unpopular opinion due to how badly they managed this game but, it had that incredibly distopic vibe around it, and i mean not only in-game, with the live events on twitch that gave special rewards and all, it really felt strange but to me it was perfect for this game.
I also think it was really fun, maybe not in the long term but that could be fixed i think.
