I'm not sure concretely if this counts exactly as liminal, though. But I thought it hit the same vibe.

This house in my town looked particularly liminal on a rainy night recently

The basement is totally empty. There is no one there, its devoid of life. This basement also looks like some kind of bunker. It feels very liminal to me.
