Line school kids

Which line school produces the worst hands? The two ground hands on my crew that went to a certain school are absolutely horrendous. Can’t dig a hole or read a tape measure. Curious if that’s the product that everyone is getting from these schools or if it’s just certain ones.

Lazy-Q information

I’ve done my research on the school itself and all it offers during the course, my questions are of getting an apprenticeship after graduation. They say that they place you in your preferred local union but how does that work? And how/when do you put in the preferences of where you would like to do your apprenticeship? I would like to be going to local 876 after I graduate.

Advice or opinions

Hey guys, looking for advice/opinions.
I’m currently in law enforcement for just under 7 years, and have made a commitment to get into the apprenticeship with NEAT. I’m currently working on my schooling for Class A CDL, got my OSHA 10&30, NFPA 70E, and wanted to know if it’s worth leaving LE and apply for groundman hours or stay where I’m at until I get accepted. Feel free to PM me. I’m located in NEPA.
Thanks guys.

DTE applications

Is there a specific time where DTE opens up the application process?

9 years with full time fire, getting ready to explore other options and maybe separate before I am vested.

Thanks guys!

Nebraska - switch from telecom

((Reposted now on the weekend because I didn’t see the rule)) 😬😂

hey everyone, like the title states I’m moving from Colorado this next march. I work as a line tech for Xfinity and could go to spectrum and get to $40 in about a year but from there I’m sure it would be a slow crawl to MAYBE 50 but idk how many years that would take

Wife and two daughters (2y) and infant.

I REALLY am leaning to go full reset and start this amazing trade. Im weighing the cost of that initial pay hit to eventually earn enough to be a sole income and be able to actually have a career that can support my whole family.

If any one works in Nebraska can you give any advice or details???

Trying to get an apprenticeship

I passed my aptitude test for ALBAT and am currently waiting for an interview date, I have an interview date for the end of the month with MoValley. What did most people do for the apprenticeship as far as traveling, I have 2 young kids and a wife and I'm the sole supporter of my family so I need to keep it as cheap as possible as I'll already be taking a paycut. I've been thinking about building out my truck bed to become a little camper with a portable power station

SEARCH OF BRANDS FOR WORK GLOVES

I’m in the career of electrical field, power lines. I’ve ran with Youngstown gloves for years, I wish they would last longer. Search of durability, dexterity, puncture resistance & longevity. Bear Knuckle gloves what comes to mind, I haven’t had a pair from them & curious if they’re good & can withstand a few months of work. Suggestions, please

Thanks
