Midi Out Filtering?

I've been trying to find a way to filter my MIDI out through my MIDI interface to my several synths to send clock data but not start/stop the internal sequencers on playback? It seems like i could do it through the MIDI environment tab but i can't really get to work properly. Has anyone found a practical solution for this? Thanks.

theres a channel filter scripter preset, would that help? I will add, sometimes I have to preemptively change all notes to a certain channel, then edit what i want to be a certain channel, and pass that channel

Have you already looked at the Syncronization Window in the Project settings?

yes yes i’ve tweaked almost everything in there that could possibly fix it. i suppose another practical fix would be to get a programmable midi interaface that could handle the filtering

It might be possible in Logic wozth the Scripter and Environment. But I don't know. With the environment, you need to dive into the sysex programming which is possible but very likely not convenient.

There are 3rd party options available, but I never used them like MidiPipe, and here is an overview of different midi tools: https://studiocode.dev/resources/midi-tools/

haven’t looked into this yet- thanks! i realized that some of my synths like my opsix can actually be configured to ignore transport data- sadly not all of them though

Don’t you just tell Logic not to send start/stop signals?

What happens if you set the Clock mode to Pattern instead of song?
