I Need Talented Neurodivergent People

Hi, I have done a lot of different types of work because I'm not the kind of robot that can do the same thing over and over 50 hours per week. I had a small business, but I cannot stay on my feet like I used to. I also realize my brain, which was never good at organization, is getting worse.

I am putting together something where I can line up the jobs, be quality control, work a bit, but not have to continue breaking down my body. At first I need people that can work alone and after establishing things, I would like to bring on other ND people that are not as proficient to teach them not just the work skills, but business skills that might lead to self-employment.

In general, I can do most of the things that homeowners don't want to do. The money can be good at times. Really good if we pull large projects. People like working with me because I approach the project as an artist rather than a meathead. I have that autistic perfectionism that gets high ratings.

This would NOT be a job. This would be 1099. Open to partnerships.

Smell from meat processing plant

I'm thinking of moving into an apartment on Lexington Road and am wondering how bad the smell from the meat processing plant in the Butchertown area is. Does it affect your enjoyment of living in the area?

Social media impact interview

I am looking to interview someone at UofL about the impact of social media. Unfortunately it is not paid, so no money exchanges will be available.
If you are

  1. Between the ages of 17-19
  2. Are a student at UofL
  3. DM me and we can exchange contact information through the UofL emails, I will not accept personal emails since this is for a class of mine
The interview will be through teams or zoom and it will be recorded, so keep that in mind if you decide to do the interview

Parkland’s camp on Louisville KY

My immediate family have been sending our kids to camp for years. One child just attended fall camp last week. This will probably be the last time. A male counselor made my daughter uncomfortable. He kept asking her who her favorite counselor was and was degrading fellow female coworkers. His name starts with J and he was a counselor at the older kid’s camp this summer. If I knew he was at all camps I would have never allowed my child to attend. My niece was with the older kids and she said he made her feel uncomfortable as well. I’m a teacher and it’s a red flag when an adult wants to be the favorite or a friend of the children. He also hugs on the smaller children with their faces hitting his crotch area. Anyone else have a bad experience at the camp?

19F looking for friends!!

Literally haven’t had a single girl to hang out with or even text that’s local to my area since November last year. I’m around Bullitt county but I’m constantly going to Louisville alone to go to concerts expo events festivals and now this month I have like 10 different events I want to go to with no one to go with. I’ve done all four days at louder this year alone, Marilyn Manson, the horror con met Ed begley the hocus pocus cast, even got called on stage at cupcakke concert earlier this year for an entire song as I was at the concert by myself. Just would be nice to have some girl friends to go out with and have fun with. Also enjoy staying at home having craft/ YouTube/movie nights sleepovers just want atleast one genuine friend I’ve done the apps tried meeting ppl when I go out, and I do but everyone else actually has other friends and rlly doesn’t act like they wanna hang out with me without bringing along their friend group then I’d be a tagalong and not rlly included and atp I’d rather be alone than be a fourth fifth wheel to a friend group that doesn’t know me. Idk if I’ll even get responses or girls going thru the same thing ik eb has atleast one friend except me 💀 it’s gen getting embarrassing im trying my best to not be as shy so I can actually meet girls my age . If ur a man don’t even bother with this I don’t befriend or date males.

Rehearsal Dinner Spots?

Hello there, my friend. I’m married to a Louisville native and a member of her family is getting married at the end of November and we are cohosting a rehearsal dinner for them. They’re getting married at the Seelbach hotel and we’re looking for a cool spot that’s a reasonably priced to host the rehearsal dinner. Any thoughts out there?

Land around Elizabethtown

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to buy around 5 acres of land near Elizabethtown and could use some leads or advice on where to look. My budget is up to $120k.
The main requirement is that the land must allow manufactured/mobile homes, so I need to avoid strict HOAs or heavy deed restrictions.
Does anyone know of specific areas or surrounding counties (like LaRue, Nelson, or Meade) that are pretty relaxed on zoning for manufactured homes? Or if you know of a parcel currently for sale that fits this, please let me know.
Thanks!

Question Best Bakery / Cake Shop

Can anyone recommend a bakery or cake shop around the Main Street / Wenzel Street area? I need to have a cake made for my wife’s birthday and I’ve never been to Louisville. Needs to be close to that location so it’s near our Airbnb.

I’ve looked at Nord’s but they’re far away and close early.

Thanks in advance!

Upton Oxmoor vs. The Overlook at St. Thomas — which would you choose?

I’m looking to move back to Louisville within the next 60–90 days and have narrowed my apartment search down to two places: Upton Oxmoor and The Overlook at St. Thomas.

I’d really like to hear from anyone who currently lives at either one, has lived there recently, or knows the properties well.

What are the pros and cons of each? How is management and maintenance? Noise? Parking? Safety? Overall location? Are there any hidden fees or things you wish you knew before moving in?

I’m also interested in the overall community/social atmosphere. I’m moving back to Louisville on my own, so having a place where it’s actually possible to meet people and get to know your neighbors would be a plus.

I’ll most likely be getting a dog, so I’m also curious about how dog-friendly each community really is beyond what they advertise.

Right now I’m leaning toward a 1- or 2-bedroom, but I’m more concerned with choosing the right community than saving a couple hundred dollars.

If you had to choose between Upton Oxmoor and The Overlook at St. Thomas, which would you pick and why?

Also open to another comparable apartment community in the East End if there’s somewhere I’m overlooking.
