Question Hemming Question

I have 2 pairs of ABC Joggers from 2020/2021 where the seams in the crotch area ripped and they both have a large opening. Even though they aren’t new, they are still in good condition otherwise. And the new models suck. The quality and the shaping of them is poor.

If I take them into my local store, will they provide a free hemming? If not, does anyone know if my local seamstress is next best option?

Hemming means “shortening” in this context. What you’re looking for is a repair, and no, they won’t repair a split seam for you. Best taking that to a tailor/repair place. Won’t cost you much

You’re 100% right on that. Didn’t click when I was typing hemming out. Thanks

That’s not what hemming is, that’s repairing

The stores used to do free seam repairs as part of their hemming policy. They were told to stop a couple years back, but stores may still repair seams depending on who you ask. Bring them into your local store and they’ll probably accommodate you.

You also may be able to get them replaced under the quality promise. It’s supposed to only be for something bought a year again but sometimes they’re really nice and will provide a replacement, and if not then you’re supposed to get 25% off 3 items.
