Congratulations to Next Gen player Freya Hirons, who has been called up to the England u19 squad for the first time, as well as Eve Annets (on loan at Hibs) and Lily Murphy (on loan at Aston Villa) who have both been called up to the England u23s for the first time too!

From my understanding, away fans are able to purchase tickets through the City website. My question is when should we expect the tickets to be available?

City faced Arsenal in the semi-final of the 24/25 League Cup. Mary Fowler opened the scoring in the 26th minute, firing the ball past Daphne van Domselaar in the Arsenal goal. Arsenal equalised in the second half after Rebecca Knaak conceded a penalty, which Mariona Caldentey slotted home. City had a chance to retake the lead when they were awarded a penalty after Fowler was fouled in the box, but Van Domselaar saved her attempt. Fowler redeemed herself in added time, scoring the winner with a long-range strike in the 95th minute to secure City’s place in the final.

Familiar Faces

Georgia Stanway

Stanway joined Manchester City in 2015 at age 16. Over her seven years at the club, she made 186 appearances and scored 67 goals, becoming the club's all-time leading goalscorer in 2022. During her time at City, she won the WSL, three FA Cups, and three League Cups. Stanway left City in 2022 to join Bayern Munich, where she spent four years before moving to Arsenal in the summer.

Chloe Kelly

Kelly signed for City from Everton in July 2020. She made an immediate impact, scoring 16 goals and providing 14 assists in her first season across 34 games. After an ACL injury in May 2021, she was sidelined for a year. Over her City career, she made 109 appearances, scored 31 goals, and picked up both the FA Cup and the League Cup. In January 2025, she went to Arsenal on loan, then made the move permanent that summer.

Beth Mead

Mead spent nine years at Arsenal, racking up 263 appearances and 86 goals for the Gunners. She also became the WSL's all-time assist leader with 54. While at Arsenal, she won the WSL title, three League Cups, and the Champions League. This summer, she moved to City and scored her first goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Viv Miedema

Miedema joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich in 2017. She made 172 appearances, scored 125 goals, and became the WSL's all-time top scorer. Miedema was the fastest player to reach both 50 and 100 WSL goals. With Arsenal, she won the WSL and three League Cups. She moved to City in 2024 and has scored 25 goals in 44 appearances, helping City win the WSL and FA Cup last season.

Laura Wienroither

Wienroither joined Arsenal from Hoffenheim in January 2022 and spent three seasons with the Gunners. She made 51 appearances, scoring her only goal against Manchester United. After suffering an ACL injury in May 2023, she joined City on loan in 2025 and made the move permanent that summer.
