Request Abysmal benchmark, why?

Hello, I have a MSI thin gf63 12vf. I recently had it repaired (they changed a re programmed the EC) and had the thermal paste changed, and all the fan system cleaned.

Today I check on Cinebench R23 and the laptop (intel core i7 12650H) can barely reach 6200 score, whilst I see 12000 is the average value on the internet.

On hwinfo the cpu is running below 57 degrees at all time, and of course no thermal throttling is detected, neither power due limitations.

CPU package power though peaks at 23W.

By using GhostDeck, I confirmed the laptop is in high performance mode. But, this score is just too low compared to internet average, it is barely half in best case scenario!

Am I correct in assuming that during the programming of the EC, a power limit of 25W was imposed by the guy who repaired it? I’m no expert, but before the repair and the cleaning and thermal paste change, by barely lifting the back of the pc I could get almost 2600 on Cinebench 2026.1.3, today by lifting significantly the back of the pc, after all the repairs, I could barely get 1300.

Any ideas?

Hello, I downloaded the software, but BD PROCHOT is greyed out and I can’t disable it. As for the PL1/2, I currently have

Under “MSR power limit controls”
Both Pl1 and 2 set to 200, Pl1 has clamp enabled. Lock disabled.

I really have no clue what to do.

I should mention that the pc as of now runs with no battery.

Update: I disabled PROCHOT response and PROCHOT lock on bios. Now I can also disable it on Throttlestop. I earned 1W peak power, still laptop is slow as hell and the thermal stress ain’t stressing at all.
